iPhone 4 Warranty.

Okay well my dad wants to switch to Tmobile with our iPhone 4s. The phone now has no service. I want to use my warranty that I got to get a new one since I have a few major scratches. I got the phone from Apple store so am I eligible for a new phone? Remember I have no service on the phone. But also what should I say to them so they'll give me a new one. I can't see oh I have scratches, new one please.

Also I have to jailbreak my phone for Tmobile. How is the iPhone 4 jailbroken?

I'm not sure if the warranty still last considering that you have switched services, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. See what the warranty covers, and tell them that something similar to that has happened. Also on how to jailbreak the phone try a guide right here on sythe, or if you can't find one try this video:

The iPhone warranty is provided by Apple, not AT&T. They don't cover for scratches however, unless you've purchased an Apple Care plan.

As for jailbreaking, phones on 4.01 can be jailbroken at www.jailbreakme.com. Phones that are 4.02 and up must either be downgraded (with SHSH blobs) or you have to wait until the new PwnageTool with SHAtter is released.

 

What do they cover? And when they give me a new one will I be able to jailbreak it? Like will it be the lastest software and jailbreakable?

 

It depends. The refurbished phones have different software on them but by now I would expect them all to be on 4.1. As for what they cover it's basically just minimal hardware (i.e. broken headphones) or for issues with the phone that weren't normal wear and tear or accident related, such as a broken proximity sensor or a phone that constantly crashes.

 

Refurbished Phones Usually come with software 4.0 on them, which in that case you should be able to Jailbreak it as long as you don't Upgrade the software.

As far as the warranty goes, As long as no Dropped, Or liquid damage then It should be fine, make sure you restore it before sending it in as-well

I sell the 32GB iPhone available in four color black and white. It is unlocked home through Apple, and therefore support any type of SIM card. The subject is still new in blister pack, it comes in its original box with all the usual accessories: charger, user manual, cable USB ... Note, the object is 1 year warranty.
