Merchanting - Should I?

Hey guys, just got done watching some merchanting vids.... and I thought i'd ask for your comfirmation about this....

I am thinking about spending 29m on an item that is at its lowest peak atm, it has been merched before... the lowest peak is 35 gp ea, and highest is 189 gp each...

if I do do this i will be buying about 828 THOUSAND of the item, and when I cash out at about 100 gp ea I will hit the 82m mark...

any ideas? Yes? NO? want to merch it with me?

 

If you think you can pull this off then by all means, go for it. Just remember that what you're about to do is a gamble.

Lemons, but wait a bit until you buy them.

 

Yeah, I thought about that too, because they most likely will drop a couple more gp which makes a huge difference.

It was either buy for the lowest price now or wait, i think ill wait.

 

Your doing pretty good, you've found good items already, that's a great start. Look for the 2 lines of resistance. that's where the item won't go higher or won't go lower, if the current gp mark is around there then that a good buy. I would be careful with the willow branch cause it looks like it might be a manipulation item, but a really good idea would be to buy the willow branches when the clan is dumping them and they hit rock bottom, which is usually slightly below the line of resistance for the lower price.

So in total just keep your eyes on these graphs and it will really become profitable.

ps, if you only watched youtube videos, then i highly suggest you read some online guides, theirs one guide that's particularly good, you can find it buy clicking on the signature that some people have. The sig has like a yellow phat and lots of gp in it. I know that it would help alot more to give you a site, but i can't find it atm. :l

willow branch stock is to big

 

I'll invest 150M in lemons with you. I pmed you, maybe we can work out when we should buy.

 

Do people actually use lemons or willow branches? That would be a big factor for single/group merchants that are not relying on pyramid scams.

 

Have you ever merched before? If you haven't, I suggest you read some guides before doing this. Also, don't dump all your cash into it at one go. Start little by little.

 

Merchanting at its lowest peak is not that risky, because if you fail to sell it, just wait until it goes up again. It can be risky if you by it at a not so low peak, patience is what you need for a successful merch.

 

You won't be able to buy out an item with 29mil if that's what you're trying to do. And the chances of a merch clan picking up willow branches after they just did them are slim to none.. I'd stay away from them.

I don't think there's much demand with either willow branches or lemons. If your merchanting by yourself they are terrible items. If you are relying on manipulation clans, then that's up to you.

 

You need to find some more used items were the demand is high but the stock in g.e at the moment isn't to much

 

As stated above, these items don't have enough supply to be able to sell them effectively when they rise. I'd check out www.rune-tips.net. It's dedicated to solo investments and we can all help you out there.

 

go for it but... sell before you think you should, ive found that selling before my instincts tell me usually works, as the price seems to drop at my instincts level... i dont know if that made any sense at all but...
