Strange...

I got banned for Macroing Minor. It was supposed to be unbanned today. The appeal page still says "Banned" but I am able to log in into my account. I didn't get any rollbacks, stat-wise or wealth. Why does it still say I'm banned, and why do I not have any rollbacks? I may have been lucky to escape a rollb, but still, why am I still "banned"?

 

It says that your account will be available after 1 day, and so it is. It will just say that you had a ban for about 1 year in your offences.

 

You're not still banned, the ban infraction won't expire for a year.

 

If you looked at the screenshot, it clearly still shows the heading, in BOLD:

 

It's probably just some glitch with the time/hour. It'll be gone in a day most likely.

 

Oh on a different note. I wouldn't go around appealing minors since after they reject the appeal they can turn it into a major and banhammer you permanently.

 

Normally I would accept that as true, but for this account, I was truly innocent and hacked by a hijacker. But I don't expect Jagex to even read the appeal for at least another 6 months. Or at all.

look at the pillars, green means your good, red means banned. it has already exspired, it just keeps a history of your offences

 

well that happen to me before. I did get roll back etc etc. you will be able to login a day early, but tomorrow when you re-login, you will get roll back and etc.

 

Who said it expired? Look more closely at the picture, and you'll see "BANNED" written right in front of you. I know the ban itself is only 14 days and I know they expire after a year.

yes it says banned, my pure who was perm muted for 2 years before quick chat who just recently got unmuted, * few months ago* still says hes under perm mute. if i cab remb his login details i'll post a ss

 

I'm still wondering though, if Jagex either simply let me go regarding the rollback, or are just planning to roll me back, like, tomorrow. Or maybe Jagex's appeal system hasn't updated yet to show the changes?

 

well it's based on jagex's time, it will say more time, but it will have expired for instance, my new account hot a 24 hour mute, but the mute din't last for a day , according to their page i still had 24 hours, when really the 24 hours had passed. there timing is off, don't ask me why/how lol.

 

I just checked my account today, 12 hours after I posted this thread. No rollbacks, but the "banned" part on the appeal page disappeared. Unless Jagex springs a "surprise rollback" in the next day or so, I guess I was really lucky to escape a rollback.

 

I got slapped with the same thing, no rollback. Funny thing was, it was on a character that I don't bot with.


I think they're unsure if you're a bot and would rather flag you for botting and not screw up your account than do nothing. Either way, well played Jagex, I did need an RS break.

 

^ True, that ban was the only thing that stopped me from playing RS. I did need a break too. The only bad thing is an offence made on the pillar and I lost 15 days of membership.

 

Yeah, I think that's unfortunate as well, but really, I think you'll come to appreciate more and more the vacation you've gotten from RS. I'm on day 8 of my ban and I've already almost killed myself

 

Why don't you just wait an other day? Nothing to worry about it if it says 1 more day of ban.
