[NEED STAKING ADVICE] I need help or someone to talk to.. I'm sooo f***ed

[Edit:] Hey, I'm thinking about solving my money problems through staking via hiring maxed mains and buying about 100m. I haven't staked before so would really love some advice or maybe i can watch you stream staking for an hour so i get the feel of it? I've spoken to many people that make their living off of it and it all sounds too good to be true. Please can anyone give me advice or tips?

Okay... so, I'm a 21 year old computer science student that was one of the most positive people in the world. I'm not just saying this but I am a really nice guy whether it's for a family member or stranger I will always be there.

So, I struggle with money a lot (DW not asking for any im just telling my story)

I dream of owning and driving a car so I signed up to zipcar which is a very cheap car rental.

Over a month ago I crashed the car and I think the person I hit is definitely going to press charges.... so I am just absolutely fucked haha. Since then I haven't been able to get 2 hours of sleep a night and I have just lost all motivation completely.

I have sold 2 of my RS accounts and sold some gold but I don't know what to do now to raise money. I live in London so it is really hard to get a job, even if its part time (The pay is absolutely shit anyway)

I have no real life friends and no-one I can really call family so I'm turning to the sythe community for a shoulder or two to cry on haha.

What part of London are you in? Either way, there's pretty much jobs all over, especially part-time ones. Getting a job is going to be the easiest way to get money rolling in. London does generally tend to have a higher job pay than the rest of the UK (although this isn't guaranteed).

As for Uni - don't let this affect you, think about what you want to be doing in 10 years time, rather than 10 days. If you drop Uni now, it will be such a waste.

 

Its just tough man, even if i do get a part time job it'll take months to make enough money to get out my overdraft, let alone pay for this charge


edit: I even tried powerlevelling for some people, I would spend hours and hours and hours to makee a lousy £10.......

 

It's sad that you got into a situation like this, but all that counts now is getting out. Solving the money problems will make everything a lot easier, so that's where you start.

First of all, start saving wherever you can. This means cutting down your phone bill to a minimum, don't buy new brand clothes, don't go out to dinner and try to eat relatively cheap food, no car but public transportation, etc.
Second you gotta do is find a job. You pointed out finding a job in London is hard, but with the right attitude everyone who is young should be able to find a job. I don't know your computer science skills, maybe you can find a job with that. If you're not good enough or that just doesn't work, how about taking public transportation and dropping your resumé at 50+ restaurants, cafe's and shops? Chances are very good one will call you in for a try out day. Give it all you can, work harder than you ever have and you got the job for sure. The key to solving this is saving, getting a job, being creative and changing the mindset from everything is going wrong to I will get out of this. Best of luck.

After I graduated, I got in debt. Similar to your bank account situation. I was so stressed that it would affect everything I did. I had no source of income either and I stopped borrowing money from my parents ages ago so I couldn't turn to that, it just felt wrong.

It took about a year to get the job I wanted after graduation and at times it felt it would never happen. But it does happen and believe me its completely normal. It is currently September and this is the best time to apply for part time jobs as thousands of retail companies recruit for the Christmas period. If you start looking now believe me you will find a part time job.

Yes it may not be the job you want but it will be a solution to the money problem you have. You have to remember one thing in life and that is there are no short cuts to being comfortable unless you get lucky. You have to spend a lot of time and effort to get where you want. I suggest you apply to a part time job and put in effort because what most companies do is keep the best and more dynamic performers.

You live in London, check out vacancies in Oxford street, Westfield and etc and you will get a job. I was working in Marks & Spencer so I could get out of overdraft and literally while I was working at M&S I got accepted for a finance graduate position.

You will get it right as long as you keep going. Even if you don't it doesn't matter because you tried.

I'll be honest man, that really does suck.

I know computer science is a very broad definition, but what if you were to start up something on Sythe (services) to possibly build up a little revenue to attempt to pay it off little by little?

Don't be picky about the job you get (unless the work conditions are a health risk, obviously.) know that it's temporary and work as if you're using that for an extra reference on your work history. It will suck, more than it does now. But it will pay off.

PS. this is coming from the most pessimistic person I know, being myself.

 

I love la hit the nail on the head about getting a seasonal job somewhere. Even if it's minimum wage, it won't take too terribly long to save up 1.8k to get everything straight. It sucks but it's how the world works. We exist to produce, pay bills, and die. Best of luck with your situation. Things will get better.

I did, but try to focus on one thing at a time. It's easy to get overwhelmed when you're thinking about how you're going to solve all your problems at once. Take it one step at a time. I have a bunch of similar shit I have to get done currently too, I just try to knock one thing out a week and that list gets smaller and smaller.

Obviously it's gonna take longer than a week but it's the same principle. Don't let it haunt you.

 

Could you open a new bank account? To escape your over draft? Find a job, balance everything out between classes and when you're available to work. Honestly your twenties are tough, you're going to be broke for awhile that's just reality.

There's always something to do to benefit yourself . Keep looking. You'll be okay.

 

Even if i get a part time job.... I will only be able to work 20 hours a week at most.... Dont forget i need to pay for travel.... for food.... for everything... if I were to save enough to get out of my overdraft it'll take heaps of time... Now imagine the charges im facing, itll be a lot more than 1.8k ill tell you that

 

Working 20 hours a week is a lot better than working no hours a week. Also I'm not sure how the law works in the UK so I don't want to end up putting my foot in my mouth. But here in Canada if you get a fine, they dont make you pay it all upfront. You should be able to make payments.

You might be taking the bus or public transportation for awhile, but that's just apart of the struggle. You need to realize that no one wants you to fail, no one is looking to see you not succeed. There's so many opportunities to for you to grab on to you just need to utilize your resources and work hard. It's okay to do without for awhile. We all have to make sacrifices so in the long run we're able to have those luxuries we desire.

You'll be okay. Just keep working hard and keep smiling. You said you're a good person. Never let money define you.

 

Damn dude, as bad as it may seem, its actually not that uncommon of a circumstance that youre in.

When i joined the army, my buddy was driving and i was the "A-Driver" (pass.) and we crashed into a tree. it was claimed as negligence and i have had to pay for 10% of the vehicle out of pocket. i could either grab a loan or they would dock my pay. i cant live off 300 bucks a month, theres no way. its taken me 6 years to pay off 10% of an MRAP. thats an almost million dollar vehicle. but since ive been making payments and shit, it isnt that bad. they actually forgave most of the pay so i only have to pay like2%.

Although it may seem tough, and youre getting stressed. people have been there and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. just budget what you do make in the future when you get a job and youre golden.

i use the envelope system. set aside money in each envelope and rest in savings and checking. before you know it, youll have that little overdraft fee paid off.

We need more info on your financials to see where your going wrong with your money really. Clearly being in an overdraft is the issue, but how you got there goes a long way to helping how to turn it around.

Personally I've never had money issues, mainly because I don't like to spend my hard earnt money on unnecessary stuff.

Simple ways you can save money is to not get things on credit at all where avoidable if there is an interest rate etc

Regarding the car, surely you was insured? Your policy might go up as a result of it, but if your not replacing your car it shouldn't effect you much other than whatever excess you had on the policy

 

Thanks for the replies guys, dont forget that even with a part time job i will need to pay for travel, food, my own bills etc.... I mean I can eventually get out of the -1800 overdraft but it's the accident thats just in my head... Its going to cost a shitload. It was a zipcar (rental) there was no insurance so its going to be a hefty amount

 

What travel are you paying for? Is public transport not an option there? Regarding your other expenses, as others have said, youll need to get creative. Buy off-brand, plan out meals, don't eat out. Cut back on TV, internet, open a window instead of turning on the A/C, etc. Fact is you ay be able to work around your current solutions, but without making these changes on a more permanent basis, they'll just reappear futher down the road.

 

Not sure what zipcar is, however it's illegal to drive in the UK without insurance so if you rented it, they should have their own insurance to cover you. It may be worth to give them a ring to find out. With a lot of rentals the excess is £1k

its like an hourly rental thing, very cheap.... you get the 1k excess at £20 extra a month, I didn't pay for that
