Worth buying ps4 atm?

Hello everyone,

I am planning on buying a playstation 4 but I am not sure if it's worth buying one.

Here where I live it costs 399 € ( $ 507,39). Will there be any price changes sooner or later or any suggestions or advise you could give me on my decision?

^ That, and I expect both next gen consoles to decrease in price over the next 6 months or so. They're still ridiculously expensive. My roommate got a used one with 2 games and 2 controllers for $250 the other day and it works perfectly. Check craigslist / ebay see if you can find one for cheaper, otherwise I'd wait for a price reduction.

 

Yes buy it, GTA 5 is coming out for the PS4 next month. You can also wait till the holidays and buy one.

 

Depends on how often your gonna use it and what games ur gonna play. Do u alr have a ps3 or xbox? if so I wouldn't buy a new one if the old one is working fine

1. Absolutely no real selection of games yet for it.
2. Not even optimised yet.
3. Prices IMO are still way to high.

I would wait until games that come out that ACTUALLY push the PS4's limit.

At the moment, the graphical state of the PS4 isn't much different from a PS3.

Here in Australia a PS4 with 1 game is still $500.

 

There really aren't enough decent games out to rush into buying it. Mine's just been an over glorified Netflix box.

 

Honestly Xbox One, and PS4 are heavily surrounded on social media, and media itself. I personally hate both consoles, use your money to buy a $500 desktop and you'll be set.

The previous Gens already has it.

Right now there aren't any good reasons to get the PS4. I am waiting for them to have exclusive games that I want, games that are enough reason to want to buy a PS4. Games that previous gens won't be getting. An example would be KH 3. That game alone is enough for me to blow $500 just to play it.

Ask yourself this. Are there any games out there that the PS4 has, that you want so badly you'd be willing to drop $500 on it? Unless you get an amazing steal for it from craigslist, then by all means buy one.

And anyone expecting there to be a sale for the PS4 on Christmas? A PS4 costs sony $380 to build. Now the other $120 would be the game, the store's profit, the company's profit, shipping and more unforeseeable issues that may arise. Don't get your hopes up.

 

I'd say: HELL YES! And get that new borderlands and assassins creed!

It's a great gaming console but I would wait until after the holiday season for prices to drop. It's not the best time of year to be buying expensive electronics. Perhaps if you lived in the USA maybe you could snag a deal on black friday or cyber monday.
