Guys fashion?

I'm going into my sophomore year of college and want to start dressing better for when I go out on the weekends; not that I dress bad. In the winter i'll usually throw on a pair of timbs, jeans or khaki's and a nice looking button down. In the spring / when it's nice out i'm kinda lost on what to wear. I only have basketball shorts and then really preppy bright shorts (the kind you wear with like sperry's). So I really don't know how to dress when i'm going out in decent weather.

What do you guys wear when you go out? Do you even care? Any suggestions on what I should do?

 

The only brand I wear is Jack and Jones. Look it up. They always have something nice to wear no matter the season. Those are the types of clothes I'd keep an eye on.

Im a jeans boots and t shirt sort of guy. Button ups and pearl snaps when im dressing up a bit.

Nothing fancy but I can clean up as well as I need to.

 

Wear some colored chino shorts, or the ones that have a printed design on them. For tops, you can wear a nice looking polo, or a button-up.

Depicting someone as "preppy" because they choose to look nice and take pride in what they wear is extremely moronic. The word "preppy" overall is a sad generalization to dismiss self insecurities, just because there is no name for someone who wears a wolf t-shirt with the moon and lightening in the background, sweatpants and boots, doesn't mean you should criticize else style.

With that being said, don't let others talk shit about your style. It seems you have similar taste as I do, check out Vineyard Vines, Express, and Banana Republic.

If you think I intended to use the word preppy as an insult, I don't expect you will understand what I'm about to tell you.
I made use of the word as an adjective, which was used by the OP himself. The word could be a synonym for taiwan olive oil tit monkey for all I care.
Without doubt, I completely respect their keen ability to conform and assimilate to whatever gucci ass trend David Beckham is currently sporting, and how crazy and "quirky qt bae txtme" they think they're being. Or perhaps it's their intrepidness and determination to express their inner creative spirit and whateverthefuknot.
I personally find them repulsive to the eye. Not that I have anything against someone who enjoys the tightly packaged ovoyolo bulge of a dude with those kinds of shorts. Just not for me, brother.
Besides, what are you even doing criticizing me when you played the same card just now by hating on individuals who prefer a more chillax and wolfy style.
Wolf shirts and sweatpants are awfully underrated tho.

Wear some vans with shorts and a nice T. thats my style

 

Rock a nice pair of vans; get some khaki shorts, white shorts, light blue shorts, gray shorts. Stick to solid colors. Then, wear clothes like Hurley, Billabong, Vans, Quiksilver. They have good varieties and nice colors.

They are also made for the spring and summer time. Good material for it.
