Risk of linking paypal to bank account

I have about 2 grand saved up in a bank account, but i want to link it to my paypal. Im not planning on using the money in the bank account, just using it to lift the limit on my paypal. What are the risks of doing this? Because that money I have in there is important (im 16 and I need it for a car and such). Are there any risks involved?

 

Your paypal would probably get limited because you must be 18 to legally use paypal.

 

Lone, I lied about my age and have had a verified bank funded paypal account for a few years now.

The only bad thing that can happen is if you get your paypal password stolen, but even then it would take about 5 days to transfer cash to paypal so you'd have plenty of time to stop it.

 

i just wouldn't do it, for many different reasons.

1. your password can get stolen as dank said, however, it doesn't take 5 days to transfer it depends how fast the business day is.

2. they can make a transaction and delete a pending process so you'll never know you had one taken out.

3. your bank information is on your paypal and is accessible.

4. everything on your paypal is blocked, however, your name and bank account with transit number is not, making you very vulnerable to identity fraud.

there are more vulnerabilities but i have to go to work..

 

I did it and nothing bad has happened to me.

 

i did it and its safe, only downside is me spending all my money lol.

 

A large transaction takes 2-5 days to process. In that time you can call your bank and cancle it. (You will be notified if anything happens). Go crazy with the PP security just in case you need to recove. Check every day.

 

Thanks, I think im going to wait until I have a job, then open up a separate bank account for dealing with paypal.
