Fire Cape on Zerker, Feedback please

Hi, My username for runescape is "Im Godz Cow", im 45 prayer, 99 range, 88 hp, 45 def, and i want to get the fire cape.
I made an attempt when cow was 80 range and failed at the jad with prayers, have been kind of intimitated to waste another 500k going for the fire cape again.

Im not sure on the set up (both inventory and armour) i should be using (other than i want to use rune cbow with broad bolts) i have 40m but would like to keep spending to a minimum.

The thing with a firecape is that the better gear you have, the easier it is.
You are always able to sell your gear back in the GE after you have successfully defeated the Jad. With your stats, you should have no issue getting a firecape, as long as you don't panic on the Jad. The two links below are little guides I made for my Firecapeing customers when they needed advice on how to setup.

As for personal advice. I would have the following inventory:

7 Saradomin Brew (4)
1 Ranging Potion (4)
Cornicopia (this is probably the most important item, it allows you to store food, such as purple sweets, and eat them in 1 click).
18 Super Restores (4)
200 Purple Sweets

It a mitre a better idea than a berserker helm for jad?
how do u get the "cornicopia"?

 

Cornicopia was obtained in a Thanksgiving event I guess. I just don't know what year. Most probably 09 or 08.

 

Mitre is my preferred option, only because it gives prayer bonus, which is important, and I don't lose too much HP. I would advise you to have +15 prayer bonus, as a minimum when entering the caves.

To get a cornicopia, visit "Diango" in Draynor Village to see if he has one in your "Holiday Items", if not, you can get one by killing "Chickens, Seagulls, and other birds". To find out more about cornicopia's, visit here:

so, purple sweets are a bit expensive arent they? what else could i put in the cornicopia (i went to diango, he has it for me )

 

The reason for using purple sweets is that they're a stack-able source of food. No other item on RS offers that kind of thing, so there really is no substitute. It's just something that you're going to have to have.

 

and the last thing is, what is the brace called?

 

does anybody have ranger boots i can borrow? they are 28m X(

 

Regen Bracelet. Although that's outdated, I'd recommend using Barrows Gloves, or Dragon Gloves. If you can't use either of those, I'd use Black D'hide Vambraces.

Fire cape. Therefor u know my opinion

 

To the above poster, I believe there is now an option where you can specify items you'd like to keep. A friend of mine was telling me that a firecape protects over rune armour etc now.
