IP Banned from Runescape.com?

I've been told by numerous people that Jagex doesn't IP ban people, but I have strong reasons to believe I am IP banned. Heres why I think I am:

First, I've had the same IP address since before I joined RSF (January of '07.) Through out these two years I have had a few RuneScape accounts banned for multiple reasons (i.e hijacking, account sharing/trading,. etc.). I've also had many accounts, many of which I bought form other people.

Now when I try to go to runescape.com I get the "Server not found"or "cannot connect to server" errors. This is the only website that does this to me. So I'm led to beleive that I am indeed IP banned from RuneScape.

Now before anyone suggests this, no runescape.com is not blocked on my computer. This is the very first thing I checked. Also, I can load RuneScape.com with a proxy, however I can't play RuneScape with a proxy because none that I can find will load Java.

If I'm not IP banned then does anyone know what else could be wrong?


I've also tried playing using a client, I've used Fire Client, SwiftSwitch, and like 5 others and none of therm worked, either.

Get an IP change, it's quite easy.
It could also be because you're doing something while loading RS.
Try closing everything down, then load it.
If it still doesn't work, get an IP change. Search Google.

 

I have a Static IP address, so get get it changed I'd have to call my ISP and I can't be bothered with that.

I think it's some kind of proxy.
Maybe you could search for "Java proxy" or something on Google?

Or you could try Ultrasurf 8.9. Jagex does IP ban people

 

Jagex does IP ban people for extreme cases of constant rule breaking. The even will send you emails, and letters to tell you to stop, and might IP ban you. :/

 

You don't seriously play RuneScape at school do you? Because that would be straight up sad.

 

Jagex LTD doesn't Ban. But, ermm it's probably you're Connecting Probles could be Internet could be you're computer File size Data cant handle, it.
Try getting an IP Chnage or if you have a slow Comp, Delete useless junk or buy new one. Good Luck.

 

Yes they do IP ban. Maybe if you weren't a cheating scumbag and you played by the rules it wouldn't happen. Or maybe you just shouldn't get caught like the rest of us.

 

i play rs at school i have a photography class and ill finish my projects a week early so i play rs there

I've heard of people getting letters from them, and I also know someone who got a call from Jagex.

It's none of that.

Thanks all to who helped. The proxy program things work well late at night, but during the day it is very laggy. I suppose it's better then nothing.

 

a same thing happened and i fixed with firefox...use firefox and jagex does ip ban .... its just extremely rare

 

Use a VPN it's not slow like those shit proxies you find and are fully anon

vpns are usually expensive considering they're used for carding, I can set you one up for a fee though?

That's happened to me before. Simple solution...

Control Panel > Network Connections

You should see Local Area Connection 4 & Local Area Connection 2.

Right click them, and hit repair. It works for me. (You may need to disable them first, and restart your computer after).
