Need Ps help

I'm using Photoshop at the moment, but I need some help.

1. I have the PayPal logo, yet it is on a white square. How do I just get the text of it?
2. How can I make a rectangle without a border, and make it fade at the edges? Similar to the "separating bar" in this thread http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1325581&highlight=Frenzyy
3. How do you make certain images clickable? Do you use the "lattice" save? I've tried the "slice" tool but nothing happened

1. You can use the magic wand tool to select the white and then delete it.
2). This one is a bit more complicated. I'd personally hide the layer that you're trying to do this to with a layer mask, then use the circular gradient to to paint black over the layer mask. (It might sound a bit complicated the way I explained it).
3). I personally just apply image onto a new layer, & Select each individual image with the rectangle select tool and save that individually.

 

I get 1, I've done that now. 2 I don't get, 3 are there any other ways? The way it's layed out would mean the linked picture wouldn't be in the right place. Thanks by the way

#2: Use the rectangle tool. Right click the layer, select rasterize layer, then go around the edges with a soft brush

I don't get it. Do you have to upload different images into one post? Do you have MSN, it would be easier EDIT: I now know what to do, but how do you make it open in a new tab?
