    Life On Mars?

Hmm, i heard this on the news a little while back and it just popped into my head just about now and i wanted to hear and see what other peoples opinions about this...

Do you think, it will be possible that one day we will be able to live on Mars? Do you think that it was once habitable?

Discuss if you would please... ^_^

    Life On Mars?

It will become a realisation for the human species in years to come. Mars is a premature?* earth, with the right technology, and guidence i believe mars can become an earth. Plant habitation on mars will be the beggining to change its atmosphere for a breathable planet.

With the change in atmosphere caused by plants (turning the carbon dioxide into oxygene) a domino effect will occur for ever changing the planet. No more huge violent storms will occur, and an ozone layer like earths will be created to prevent harmfull radiation from penetrating the atmosphere.

give it a couple hundrad years.

Wont happen in our life time.

    Life On Mars?

Mars will be inhabitable within the next 200 years. They have scientific proof that it could support life

    Life On Mars?

Obviously we could live on Mars rght now with biospheres, but the problem is getting there.

But anyway, a theory is that when our solar system was born, Mars was just like Earth, both evolving at the same pace, but Mars got struck by a large astroid which caused it to go wrong. If this event had not happened, it is perfectly logical to say that Mars would be inhabited by 'aliens'.

I fail to see why you would rather live on Mars than the Earth. But that's just my opinion

    Life On Mars?

He never said that he would rather live on Mars. He asked...

"Do you think, it will be possible that one day we will be able to live on Mars? Do you think that it was once habitable?"

Anyway I think we would, and I think it was.

    Life On Mars?

The asteroid is a theory not a fact. And also, it would be impossible for someone to transfer the biospheres to Mars int he first place. Right now, it is impossible to live on mars. They're going to focus more on the Moon first and foremost.

Dude, it could have, it can't now, there are no resources on mars right now to support life. I don't know where you got the idea that it could. Or where you got the idea that it could in 200 years? What would that change?

    Life On Mars?

Yes. It is soon getting avaliable to travel to the moon for MANY money.
    Why not Mars? Who knows.
    Look at year 1900.
    Then look at 2008.
Any changes? MANY. Things are working faster and faster.
It doesn't help, though, if we all forget about the global warming, and these things.
Btw, there aren't life on Mars atm. ^^

    Life On Mars?

The first step we are taking is to build a base on the moon. Once the moon is firmly established, we will be able to use it as a jumping platform to mars.

    Life On Mars?

    Of course its possible,
our goal is to to send a ship into the space station, refuel in the station,
fly to the moon, where we will re-fuel again, and then to mars.

If we can supply our people with heat, and oxygen, then we can survive.

People thought that we never raise space. But we have. They thought we never get onto Moon. We have. So why couldnt we live on Mars?

    Life On Mars?

*Sigh*. I said it was a theory. Also I said that it is impossible to get to Mars.
The moral of the story is - READ MY POST BEFORE QUOTING IT!

Obviously the conditions are very harsh because of the intense heat and strong winds.

But, you could live on the surface with biospheres because they would block out the harmful UV rays - acting like an ozone layer. Also they would prevent the strong winds because you're not outside..

    Life On Mars?

It could be possible, however I don't think it will be in any of "OUR" lifetimes.
