Any tips on Fifa 13

I just recently got my broken Fifa disc replaced and now all my friends want to play and have tournaments and stuff.. I have always been pretty decent at Fifa, but a handful of my friends are REALLY good. How would I go about trying to get better at FIFA? I know playing a lot helps, but what specifically helps? I play soccer in real life, so I understand give and gos and passing strategies pretty well, but it always ends up with me just trying to haw my forwards run past the defenders while he has the ball and hope I get lucky. I always have opportunities for good passes, but how do I get the players on my team that I am not controlling to go to a certain place? How do I improve my skills?

1st of all, the more you play the better you will get. Its a proven fact. Just keep playing and playing.

I find that when playing vs IRL player, dribbling the ball is really good while they sprint at you, just move to the side and it will most probably miss the tackle.

Another tip i find when running through is taking a big touch off to the side, just as the defender closes in; enabling you to either run past or award you for a foul (defender catching you instead of the ball)

Ok i play fifa almost all the times so my tips may be good..

1. You want to choose an equal team when facing your friend or opponent, ex: Hes real madrid... When i see people be real madrid i either choose barcelona or Bayern because i think those are some over powered teams on fifa.

2. If your playing on ps3, When you want your players to make runs and 1-2 passes then hold the l1 button and tap x. Then theres also foward air passes like l1 triangle witch is really helpful...

3. If you know how to do skill moves, abuse them. From one to ten ide give myself like a 7-7/12 during skill moves because since i always do them i know how the player will react and go and make sure you know what your doing then just moving the right analog stick to make yourself look retarded.


4. You must no different styles when it comes to "shooting" Finesse shots are really good and so as driven shots you need to have a good chemistry with your team to get past defenders ect..... And once you learn that then you will be getting more in there box and having many chances.

Thanks for all the help guys!! I was raging after a game and bumped into my xbox and my fifa disk was inside and it got super scratched up and won't work now... I tried wiping it with a cloth, but the scratches are pretty obvious (they look like smudges to be honest, but they won't go away).. I don't want to have to fork out another $60 for a new one, especially because it has been out for so long now... My orgin thingy was being gay so the Web App doesn't work... Any ideas on what to do? I love Fifa! ;(
