Please don't feel that donating is the only way to symbolise trust. While it would be considering unintelligent for you to donate $100 to scam $50, that's the only reason people would consider donating a measure of trust. Past successful trades are the main key to showing trust.

 

yup donation is not symbol of trust. You can donate but that doesnt help that much. Beginnings are bad and you ll need to deal with it, reputation&trust will come with time depending on your vouches posts your activity etc
Edit, in order to become trusted user you can't ban evade.

 

Donating does equate to trust to a handful (by this I don't mean once you donate you are instantaneously trusted, it simply acts a stepping stone - a good one nonetheless), it also most certainly does help in acquiring recognition and also aids in speeding up the reputability process.

 

You can't buy trust, you can only earn it.
In time people will trust you, if you are in fact legit.

The site may have scammers, but it's the people who don't read stickies and don't look out for simple signs that someone is a scammer who get scammed.
Educate yourself before trading and you'll be fine, other people have provided you with the information to donate.
