Prayer on My Pure?

Ok, So I was thinking of getting 44 prayer for my Pure...

Im not to sure though, Here is what I have come up with.

Getting 1 - 44 Prayer will gain me 5 Combat levels.

But...

I will be able to Get Ava, Firecape, DT and use Eagle Eye for a 15% Range Bonus.

Is it worth it and if yes, What Quests?

What type of pure are you making? 5 combat levels can be more or less impacting depending on the type of pure.

 

id get 13, that way u get dt + ava + super strength; its only 2 combat lvls and unless u plan on going multi a lot 43 prayer is not that needed at all. Even if u do plan on going multi ur either going to be able to tank 2-3 people easily or ur gonna get jumped by a clan and prayer wouldnt really make much of a difference.

I have a gmauler with 13 prayer lvl 62 combat, and i like it for single that its combat is a lot lower, but when i go multi i just log out if theres a huge clan

 

Just go for it, the benefits will be worth more than the combat levels, trust me.

 

Its a Range Pure, So 13 Str is pointless for me at this point. If I was going to get pray I would get the hole 44 Lvls. Its lvl 50 ATM With 73 Range, 59 HP

 

For a range pure I would recommend 44 prayer. The benefits of Eagle Eye, Fire Cape, etc. out way the benefits of lvl 1 prayer.

 

I'd wait a little bit before getting the 44 prayer. 5 cb levels at that level is ALOT

 

I've always like 45 prayer, it gives you a huge advantage if you ever started to brid because of the access to 15% prayers. Just remember this, the 15% prayer will be more effective if you were to get your ranged/magic level up, i would usually reccomend 85+ range before you get it.

Don't train your prayer before doing any quests. You will have to do The Restless Ghost and Priest in Peril before getting Ava's Accumulator. It's also recommended that you do Ghosts Ahoy for the ectophial (makes things a LOT easier).

I would go for it. It would benefit you much more. Hell even go for 52 to smite claws/ags. Thought make sure you DO NOT GO ABOVE 52. After that's your just gaining unnecessary combat levels.

In almost every case I recommend people get prayer. It is almost always positive as long as you get a level that unlocks a useful prayer. In your case it should be in your best interest to get 44 Prayer. The pros outweigh the cons by a long shot in your case. 5 combats levels means nothing compared to you having eagle eye, fire cape, and most importantly ava's alerter/accumulator. Those are all essential for pures. Go for it.

You'll need the protection plus the extra benefits that you get out of it is well worth it. Not to mention, many pures pray during combat as a solution for "defence."
