Youtube & Copyright.

Hello, and has anyone else noticed that every video uploaded to YouTube, and ones previously uploaded, have recently been attacked by Copyright Claims for Audio?

I think it's really sad actually. I've posted disclaimers in all of my videos stating that I've legally purchased the music and that I have no intention of redistributing it.

I also think it's sort of bizzare how it's just started happening, rapidly.

If this is in the wrong section, please move it.

 

You need permission to use the content, not just have purchased it D:

My accounts got perma-banned for no reason...All my videos are all 100% my content.

 

Yea it happen to me too, vids i have had for ever all of a sudden considered copy-righted.

Personally I think the major coporations like the music industry abuse the dont take any consideration for the "fair use policy" which states it can be used for personal use and that is safe to use as long as you dont profit from it. The copy right laws are so broad they do not cover specifics and the companies take full advantage. If we buy the music its ours and we should have every right to use it for personal use. Its the same as if I bought a brand new car and the manufacturer told me I could no longer drive it because I might profit it or copy it. It took artists and engineers to make the car and manufactuers would love it if more people drove their car and they would be happy to see their cars on the rode because that is what they love doing. Its the same as music, the artists love creating it and people enjoying them, but the record companies hold them back because they are so greedy. Its never goning to change unless the copy-right laws become more enforced.

To sum it all up...it is complete bull-shit.

Yeah... One of my videos that had 2k+ views and whole lot of comments got taken down. If you typed in my city it would be the second one to come up. It was taken down because we used a song in it, not even a good one some old song that isn't very popular.

 

They have never done anything to my videos. One of my music videos I have made has almost 10,000 views and nothing has happened. I guess I lucky, or its just probably because its underground grindcore lol.

 

I've heard a rumor that Youtube dedicated to try harder to make their copyright rules more strict this year. Kind of like a new years resolution. Though this is just a rumor.

Though it does seem logical that they are doing this, because they deleted a lot of videos that I've favored. (music videos)

Its ridiculous. They removed one of my favorite fan vids due to 'copyright infringnon'

It was Angel edited clips set to the music: Red Tape by Agent Provocateur

Just because they didn't put a disclaimer they removed and banned the user

Uploading a song onto YouTube is redistributing even if you bought the album or the song .

 

chels has never had any issue with copyright for some reason im unsure but i can tell you i agree youtube is changing alot there all about money now really.

I find though that if you dispute the claim and post explaining that you've legally purchased the music and intend not to redistribute it and post something about that in your description they will accept that.

 

I had a RuneScape video that I posted on YouTube that didn't contain any RuneScape pictures or videos, but just the word "RuneScape" itself. It got taken down due to a copyright infringement, heh.

 

They done this to me. Before, it was a song called Remedy by Cold.

I know but still, I paid for it and i'm not redistributing it..Youtube's a little unfair. I hope the people who own the music are a little more forgiving
