looking for help with a paypal dispute

Longstory short, i was scammed for an 07 account, the scammer sold the 07 gold to my friend. He bought the gold via paypal, and was going to dispute it for me to rightfully anti-scam the scammer. We got permission for this, and looking on how to dispute the paypal transaction without any repercussion from paypal. Such as a ban, hes afraid that since using friends and family to avoid fees, paypal may look into this.

What were asking:
- What to put as the dispute reason, and wording for it.
- Can you get banned for this on paypal.
- What information would we need.

Tons of people social engineer companies and dispute them on Paypal for free goods all the time and don't get suspended/banned, you certainly do not have to worry about being banned when you were in fact, scammed.

Just head to the resolution centre, select the transaction, select 'report a problem', select the virtual goods/services category (very important to ensure this is selected) and then go ahead and proceed to explain the situation just like you would here, since you've genuinely been scammed, there's no need to really lie. And select you've already tried to reach a resolution with the seller.

Chances are, they used a throwaway paypal and transferred the cash out so when you win the chargeback the throwaway account is what they'd go minus on, hopefully they used an account tied with their actual real life information as this would hopefully have Paypal threaten them with debt collectors and legal letters etc.

It's a simple situation and very easy to get your money back, you can't really screw it up, if you want it sooner you can also call Paypal to speed up the dispute, but that's your choice, calling is always better than live chat/text.

Good luck getting your money back, hope the scammer used an actual Paypal they can fall minus on and get harassed by Paypal with.
