    Withdrawing funds from Paypal *help*

I'm in a bit of a pickle, I can't get the money out of my PP account.

Reason - I used to sell gold years ago, when I was about 16 and I foolishly didn't pay off the outstanding balance after a fraudulent chargeback.

Anyway, I paid it in the end but they blacklisted my bank account.

So I've made a new PP account and added my bank card thinking that I would be able to withdraw the funds to it.. but that option doesn't seem to be available to me. Only withdraw to bank account.

I then asked my brother to add his bank account to his PP and they are asking for all this proof of ID which he can't be assed doing.

So I'm stuck - and confused as to why I can't get it sent to my card or even by cheque or PP debit card. None of these options are available.

What to do... any ideas people?

The reason they are asking for all this ID is most likely because of several factors:

    A) You had payments going in and out of your "personal" account, and never payed the chargeback until recently.

    B) You've disbanded your old account and added (I'm assuming) the same bank card to your new account. That's a red flag for Paypal.

    C) Your brother added his bank account to his PP, and if you are under the same IP address, is another red flag.

They could be thinking that these are stolen CCs, and that's why they are asking for ID. I suggest requesting the deletion of your newer Paypal account (assuming that there is no funds attached to it), contacting Paypal through the blacklisted account, and scan some ID's, bank statements, etc. to show them that you are the owner of the credit card in question, and the bank account is truly yours.

Edit: There is a stickied Paypal help thread, which is located here http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=841592

The only way for you is to get another Bank Account and verify it, or send cash to someone, and get him to mail it or send through another payments gateway.

Thanks for taking the time to write that Pure_p10x. It certainly does clear up a few issues for me.

Do you think I will be able to get my old PP account back then & be able to use my bank account? I haven't logged into my old account incase they matched IPs with my new account and decide to limit/blacklist it too.. so I'm not sure if its possible to resolve the issue with them.

I've also considered upgrading my bank account (as the one I have is crap for overdrafts etc).. would this give me a new bank acc number and sort code?

Last question - Does your PP have to be verified to withdraw funds through the various different methods available - or should those options be there when unverified too? I have a PP UK account if anybody can confirm.

@ The Black Tux - Thanks, I'll consider doing that. I'm sure I know somebody who has a verified Paypal.

Withdraw the balance via check after they lift the withdraw limit (assuming the account is limited due to ID request)

Just sign up with greendot, or another one of those virtual bank accounts.
Paypal is very anal about rl banks.
You cannot use the same name though, so use a family member's name.

I myself, use my fiancee's :)
