CnC please, first in a while once again. I mainly do graphics once a month or so, whenever I get bored. Made it for a friend, Noah is my name (before you ask). The text truly pisses me off as I'm quite horrid with if, if you have any tips for that, please hit me up on this thread.
Nope, basically just played with Clouds/Smudging. I set a goal to do a mostly-smudge sig, and accomplished. Just added some brightness and colour and tried to add a light source and flow.
dont just add light willy nilly. look at the shadows on your render, the light is coming from the top left and slightly above. colours are nasty and boring. his hand is acting as a second focal point as you haven't blurred or sharpened where neccesary. looks LQ add more effects
Will give some advice on text as others have already covered the rest of the tag quite well. One of the most important things with text, other than placement, is font. You need to find the perfect font to suit the surroundings of the tag. Sometimes different fonts work really well together, other times, only one will look right. To be able to pick the right font to flow with the rest of the piece takes a lot of experience and a keen eye for what to look for. This is especially important in web design, as typography can make or break a viewers' attention at first glance. My past advice to everyone that has asked about text is to not use typography until they are more comfortable with implementing other aspects of their work first. It all comes with time, patience, and above all, finding what works for you (while still taking criticism as a way to improve upon your techniques). Good luck!
