Guitar Queero.

Okay some kids are getting way too obsessed with guitar hero.They are fucking customizing their guitars, and practicing like 24/7. I find GH kind of embarrasing, considering i play the guitar and have been playing for 7 years (15 years old atm). Kids are like air playing guita rhero on the bus. And another thing. Half the songs on Guitar hero no one has ever heard of the artist, and all of a sudden the kid loves that artist........

What? Guitar Hero is great... And so what if you've never heard of a band before and you like them after hearing them on GH? I guess if you only know one song by the band and claim them as your favourite artist then that gets sort of annoying, but GH is how I got into Social Distortion and now they're probably one of my favourite bands. I have all of their albums.

 

i LOVE gh, i'm pretty good too.
I got some of some good bands of there, but it would be considered selling yourself out [For the bands]

 

Totally agree with Verts' statement, who cares if you learn about a band from GH, its no different from discovering a band from the radio or TV. And its not the band that decides weather or not to put their song on the game, its the label.

Agree 100% with verts. I found Guns N' Roses through guitar hero.

I knew about Jordan and DragonForce ever since GH3 came out.

I play GH3, I'm currently playing on expert, but I'm not addicted.

I play every once in awhile when my friends are over, so yeah.

 

Guitar hero is great, and a very fun game that I can play for hours at a time if I actually had the time. It's not the game that is shameful, it's the people who are obsessed with it, and devote there lives to it.

They can actually make money from it(Such as playing in competitions)

I've played it many times, I'm pretty good at it, too. I really hate when people do this. Guitar Hero stereotyping. Some people think that everyone who plays guitar hero is addicted to it. Some people say that everyone who plays guitar hero thinks they can play real guitar because they can play a video game. That's not true. I play it often, I'm not addicted, and I suck at real guitar.

 

kids do get really ridiculous with it i bet they'll look back one day and realize how much time they wasted for nothing. it's really fun although i'm terrible at it, i must have ADD or something i can't focus on it midway through the song i'll be thinking about other shit

 

I play Guitar Hero, and Rock band, On Expert.

Most kids in my school, even the pretty popular ones play it. Honestly, I could care less if you think I'm a nerd or addicted to it, I'm having fun while your on a forum bitching.

 

I play Rock Band Drums on Expert, and I'm not addicted.

I love GH, and I knew about those songs before GH has been released.

 

Guitar Hero is great, played almost all songs.

 

i liked dragonforce before i played gh, as with guns n roses, that one song they have by pat benatar, and a lot of other stuff. i've also only played gh twice, but wish i had it so i could play it more.
