In my country, al, men must serve two years of mandatory military service.
So I was thinking about going to the special forces.
Most special forces require that you serve four years, but the naval SF that I'm Thinking of going to require only two years.

So what do you guys think?
    Is it a bad idea?
I heard that it can really mess you up, since the training you go through always involves being assaulted by the people above you to change the way you think and behave.

I'm a student University student; will it affect me a lot?

Hmm I have no idea what the military is like in Korea, however I know some famous people such as Lim, Yo-Hwan were in the air force, perhaps maybe you should try that?

I personally think it would be a pretty good experience.

I joined the Commando's (Aussie version of US Marines) in the Australian army when I got out of highschool, wasn't compulsory, I did it for the fun of it.
It was really intense training EVERYDAY, but it was a very very fun experience.
Pay was good, coaches were tough but very supportive.

It actually changed my views on life. So who knows, might help you make better decisions in life :) Once you go through it, you'll know what I mean.

haha he's not so famous over here... here, he's JUST a Starcraft player among the many lol
I could do that, but I don't want to hide behind a computer desk (that's what people in the air force do,) while others are going through hard training :p

I'd have to go through what you went through either way.
And the special forces are a LOT more harsh than the marines :/

    thanks for the input guys

Navy, I don't look to join the Forces in the future, I'm English. However my Granddad was in the Royal Marines and he said that if I was to go into anything Forces wise that I should go into the Navy, as it's good pay, travel the world, don't spend anything as you're always on sea and its all payed for and you get to work with other forces too
