   What commands would I use to execute this?

   Say I wanted the program to search for a picture of a letter, and when it found the picture of the letter, type that letter into a text box. What commands would I use to execute this?

   If you mean arbitrarily use any image of a letter, you'll need to code an OCR - and that is not easy.
   
   If you want to use a predefined image, try the Windows GDI+ APIs.
