Need help with bought account!

Hello all,

I was hoping someone would be able to help me.
I bought an account from here several months ago...the user just recovered it back.

Is there anyone I can contact so that I'd be able to ban the account? I still have all the pictures/Skype conversations of him selling the account including the email associated with the account etc. I normally wouldn't care but this guy is a real piece of shit and I'm sure he's done it to others as well. I don't want it to continue to happen any more.

MeLeMko, do not try to get the account banned through Jagex.. It will only cause problems for you as exposing someone (this is a blackmarket site for RSGP, RS accounts etc.) can get you banned here.

For real, you can get banned here for doing that? Don't think so... In any case, it's a means through Jagex though, not Sythe. I don't see a problem with trying to get the account banned/locked since you did buy it--meaning ownership is yours.

I'm pretty sure you can do whatever you want with the account MeL. So if you wanted to try and contact Jagex about it, that might be possible. Although, it's up to you on how you want to approach this. Perhaps, if you don't want to say it's you--you could say it's a friend? You should also make sure to get the user on this site that sold you that account banned as well.

Furthermore, for future reference, you should have asked the seller to sell the account to you via PlayerAuctions. It's safe and reliable there. I tried selling an account here as a newcomer and figured I wouldn't get any sales, so I sold it at PA and someone bought it. If you get scammed there, in which case it's unlikely--you'll be fully refunded if you're the buyer. If you're the seller you'll get refunded as well. So, basically there's a lot of seller and buyer protection.

 

You can try recovering it back. If you successfully rerecover the account, you can go back and forth with the guy and maybe eventually he'll give up. If you do that though, it may also get locked. I'm not too sure what your options here are regarding Jagex. You should definitely report the guy on Sythe though!

These people telling you to report to Jagex are absolute morons. RWT is completely against the rules. You admit to RWT your IP gets flagged, you're IP banned, and you can't do shit. You got scammed and there's nothing you can do about it except for going to the RAS section on Sythe and file a scam report if you have all the necessary information which I doubt you do.

Account selling/buying is against the rules of jagex. You really cant ban the account on runescape, most you can do is have him banned on sythe. Provide the proper evidence and he'll be banned for sure.

 

Try and persuade him to let you back on the account, Tell him you just want to pvm and stuff and you will split the gains with him 50/50 and bot the shit out of it until it's perm banned.

 

You're basically screwed, if the account wasn't purchased from a user on Sythe, you're just about screwed in every way, especially as far as disciplinary action goes. I'd never use websites for account sales, except for Diablo 2, all successful past experiences.

 

You cant complain to jagex lol, they will ban it for rwt. You should of registered your email to the account.

This would be comparable to a drug dealer calling the police due to being ripped off by another drug dealer.

The reality of it all is that "proof" is EASILY fabricated. Anyone who knows how to use MS Paint can forge a skype conversation screen cap, even video proof can be faked.

You should take this as a learning experience, don't buy accounts.
