Need help with 9th grade geometry

I'm 13, and for my honors geometry class homework that I happen to have due tomorrow, there's one question I'm frankly stumped on.

Directions: Graph the inequality on a number line. Tell whether the graph is a segment, a ray or rays, a point, or a line.

    x^2 < 0
    _

Not sure how to do the greater than or equal to sign, so I did that.

If you multiply anything by itself it will never be negative.

It's a segment. Without knowing what X is you cannot tell if it is a 0 or anything greater / less than that.

I would love to help, though I don't think i am doing it right..

According to my calculations, the graph should be a parabole, or a u shape.

don't take my word for it though

The graph on a number line would look like this:

This is because y≥0 only at X=0.

The "number line" system of answering refers to you having to fill in all of the values of x that satisfy the answer. In this case, the only value is 0, which means the answer is a point (only one value).

Hope you got this in time for homework to be turned in on time. :)

I highly doubt that's correct. The equation isn't complex.
