    need help upgrading laptop specs

ok firstly, i know lots about computers but not the actual computer itself lol.

My laptop has been runing slow, and is terribly noisy.

it is an HP probook 4510s - http://h10010.www1.h...52-3934828.html

sorry i dont know much about the specs on mine but that website lists all available. if anyone can tell me how to check my specs that would be great

all i know is that i got
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T6570
and an ati radean premium graphics card.
    windows 7 32bit
i think it has 3 gig ram

does anyone know if i can upgrade to 8gb ram? and if that would make a difference.

the graphics are great so i dont need to upgrade them, but upgrading what else, would make a huge difference?

i would rather spend lots of money on my laptop upgrading it than buying a new one thanks.

i have a budget of about £500 or around $800.

    thankyou so much

Why you'd want more ram on it? In my opinion, just buy a pc and get rid of that laptop, better specs for less money.

[the link of your pc is not working, replace it ;)]

Your laptop is really nice you may consider to format and reinstall windows so you "clean" it and it should start going fast like he did before :)

If you want to increase the amount of ram go for 4GB don't put more then 4GB because im 99.99% sure that you have a 32 bit OS so if you put more then 4GB the OS isn't able to use it all but just 4GB.

PS If you need other help just send me a pm ;)

The OS(because it's 32bit) can't read more then 3.5ish gigs of ram, so the ram upgrade is pretty pointless.

Upgrading laptops isn't worth the money.
And yes as he said only like 3,6 is supported by a 32 bit OS.

If you have 3gb it should be easily enough to run smoothly unless you are running high demanding applications. Just do a re-install I guess.

Yeh I do use high powered software. Such as photoshop cs5 and 3d max whilst playing rs. I need a comp but not alowed one cuz i got a laptop. It is a brilliant laptop but sounds like a washing machine and is always at 70% cpu. Which is ver anoying. I just want someway to sort that out whilst keeping the laptop. I have researched and it can handle another 4gb ram slot. so it will end up with 2 4gb rams and 64 bit w7. Will these help at all?. The noise i think is cominh from the fan but thats only cuz of thr high cpu. I would prefer to keep the laptop rathrr than buy a comp. And is there anyway i can upgrade it so it can play the likes of batlefield bc2 and crysis 2 when it comes out. Thanks in advance
