    Stuttering

So I dont have a major case of it. But I do stutter quite a bit. Some times to the point where I cant even say a whole sentence without stuttering.

I dont really know what is wrong with me at this point, but I have had several thoughts of suicide in the past because of how much of an impact this has had on my self-esteem.

I feel as if I hide behind the computer in a sense so I can avoid trying to engage in actual conversation. I just dont know what to do anymore..

You shouldn't resort to suicide for a problem like that... Try looking for some support to help you out with it. I'm sure they have some sort of speech therapy to help with a stuttering problem, if it bothers you that much. Look around on the internet, for soulutions to the problem. Wish you the best :)

There are actual professionals that help you with your speech. Why don't you reach out to your mom about getting some sessions?

Uhm I have a little stuttering issue, it's really not that big of a deal. The best advice I could give you is to speak slower. Also if the word is going to make you stutter, pause and repeat the sentence slower.

Have you considered speech therapy? That could help.

Remember it isn't your fault, it's technically a mental disability (from what I understand).

    Stuttering

I have this issue before. It was major. And yes, it definitely took a hit on my self esteem.

But I have overcame it. Here's what you can do.

    Soften your speech.

    Don't reply immediately.

Think about what you say before you actually say it out.

Make that cute puppy face or thinking face when you're thinking what to say.

Then slowly calmly speak it out.

As long as you don't stutter, it doesn't matter whether you speak fast or slow. It just matters whether you're clear and can be heard.

Finally, if none of the above works, which I doubt it unless you've got serious control issues too.

Then here's what you can do.

Grab a book, newspaper, every morning every night every time.

Start reading out loud, or softly to yourself the paragraphs, passages, everything you can read, this time, act as if you were presenting a major speech or you have an important speech to be made to the public.

Keep practicing, and after a week or two, you should be able to see obvious changes.

Hopefully this helps :) and good luck

You might stutter because you are trying to think and talk at the same time.
    Is this your case?

Does the stutter actually interfere with your life, or is it just a psychological issue.

If the stutter does not actually make it hard for you to interact in normal daily life, ignore it. It will still be there, but nobody will mind

My sister stutters a bit, but not enough to make her speech unintelligible, and nobody minds.

    Stuttering

It does interfere with my life. I feel like I just don't want to talk at all. At school I mainly only talk when a teacher tells me. Also, I think my stuttering got worse after I moved. Mainly, because of stress.

Thanks to all help above, will try it.
