Need help on quitting RuneScape.

First of all I would like to say that this is a serious thread, therefore I am expecting serious answers.

I have played RuneScape since 2005-2006. Allthough I dont like to admit it, I know that it has became an addiction for me and will probably have consequences in my future if I keep on playing it. Like for example not focusing on my carreer goals and such.

My story on RuneScape:
I have a level 137 and a maxed berserker pure - I run my own PKing clan which demands me to spend atleast a bit of time online to check things are fine.

I always played RuneScape since I started, except last year were I managed to quit it for 8 months - Moved to another game ~ Same shit -.- However that game was one from facebook which you could only play 1 hour per day max.

Where I am right now:
I am currently in college. I am 18 years old and I am studying public administration, I am aware that RuneScape uses the time that I could probably use to study.

Please guys, I would like some ideas on how to quit this... I seriously need some help.

I have tried just leaving the bot, but that didnt work..

If you're 100% serious about it, just get your accounts banned. I'm sure that with such great accounts it's very hard to up and quit. If you got rid of them with no way of getting them back, your desire to play the game would probably go out the window.

 

You posted you wanted to buy 500m rsgp off some other user a few mins ago. Now you want to quit?

 

That will not help as he will make a new account, attempt to come back.

 

You'd really want to start all over again after having a 137 and a maxed zerker?

 

Ban your accounts, it's the only way. I found dropping all my items also worked.

I though of many things like banning the account I dont know :l Also though of banning the accounts on the forums and deleteing absolutely all the runescape information I have of them and sell it away, also though of giving it away to some guy, but I am scared he might rises the defence level of my berserker pure . I dont know what to do so decided to post here so someone could share me their experiences of them quitting RuneScape

 

If you're quitting, what's it to you if they raise the defence level? Honestly man it seems like your only option is to get the accounts banned or you'll end up coming back.

I'm kidding.. but yeah you can just bot on it constantly that seems like an easy way to get banned... sudoku used to have a high ban rate.

It was easy for me because most of my buddies quit and on top of that I realized Jagex was messing with the game anddddddd they seem to want as much money as they can get as quickly as they can.

Then again, you might feel as if the ban were unjust, like when I was banned for constantly avoiding the censor, which I thought was really unfair to get a permanent ban (later permanent mute) for...

Just find flaws in the game, I guess...

 

This same problem happened to me, even though I have quit already. What I did to quit is completely delete Runescape/Java from your computer. That's what I did so im not tempted to come back and play.

 

That sounds like a good idea and might aswell try it. But I would like people to share me more experiences they had

 

I wonder if you could ask for a self-requested ban. Perhaps if you took the first 2 quarters of college off due to the ban and made sure that you didn't so much as go on their website, you would start to realize that you're happier without it. Personally, I quit for an extended period of time and watched the quality of the game crumble. I have no intent to play anymore and have not for 2 years.

 

Email in to Jagex and pretend you as a parent would like the account(s) locked so their child can study without disruption from RuneScape. Or you could email in as yourself, either way it has been done before.

By speaking with a friend, he suggested me to sell to a site named gold4fun, does anyone knows if they are legit? Please try to stay on topic, just want a simple reply on this. If the topic changes I will just edit this post

 

Selling your accounts/gold would be a better idea than getting them banned.
Since you've got something else that requires your time and effort, the only thing that you need now is will power. Nothing we tell you can make you give up rs. You're in college man, you've got priorities!
What do you do for leisure oher than video games? Do you have a girlfriend?

 

I currently do not have a girlfriend. Have been in a relationship for an year and broke up around 3 months ago. Other than RuneScape I like to go running or play sports. However it only takes 1 or 2 hours of my day

 

If you're going to sell your accounts, I'd suggest you sell them on Sythe instead of Gold4fun, because from what I've heard, they can be pretty sketchy.

 

I guess what I'm getting at is that you've got to start thinking about how you're going to get with life. Runescape is going to leave with absolutely nothing if you let it control your life.
