Most of those attending are just spoiled brats looking for an excuse to smash a window, as with many protests these days. That's not to say that there's anything wrong with exploiting a riot, i myself have taken advantage of the facade of an angry mob to spit on a cop. I have a biased hatred for authority, most notably transit cops and bi-law officers.

I think the only thing people can do is talk shit.

They talk shit about the government, but when some people actually try to do something about it by protesting and exercising their rights, everyone talks shit about them too.

At least they're standing up for the change they want to see in this country and I support that.

What is your opinion on "Occupy Wall street"?

Just a bunch of bums camping out in a park and doing drugs, claiming that they are a part of some "movement".

Atleast that is what Occupy Vancouver is turning out to be.

But statistically, the 18-35 age group is the most vocal, and the people who will be running our country very soon. It's good to see them participate in something political, rather than sit around smoking weed and playing halo.

1% 'overly' rich... If only these people had any idea just how many risks that 1% have had to make to get where they are now. The amount of work, effort and perseverance.

Maybe you could call me naive but I think, instead of protesting they should get off their fucking asses and go to work. Spontaneously crying about a supposedly corrupt political system is beyond pointless, all it's doing is citing hatred and spouting disorder from every orifice of society. Wall Street has, and never will have anything to do with the government.

Wall Street spend MILLIONS on Obama's campaign in 2008. They obviously heavily influence politics or at least try to for their own advantage. You also know that people can get rich through the manipulation and immoral or illegal use of others? You also know that THERE ARE NOT JOBS FOR EVERYONE. Saying the Wall Street Protestors is just plain ignorant as they are actively protesting and working to try to further their cause. Yes, there are some bad apples but they are no where near the majority.

So. If you want to magically make the official 9% unemployment go away (actual is much higher) so that everyone can find work, be my guest.

When did I say anything about unemployment... I said they should go to work, isn't ironic that they took time off work to complain about people earning money?

What is your opinion on "Occupy Wall street"?

I think they are a group of people joining together against corporations. I believe they are coming from a good place but there is no real collective voice. If you walk around and ask the people why they are there they will all say different things. They need a leader in my opinion

They're attacking the wrong target. It escapes me how people think that corporations run the world. Do corporations make you do anything? Do corporations have armies and weapons? Verizon doesn't have any inherent power. The power they have is only a result of the State. The State has the weapons, the laws, the police. Without the State corporations wouldn't exist.

If one corporation didn't lobby, another would. They're playing the fucking game, and they didn't make the rules. Perhaps the morality of playing along with unfair rules is questionable, but asking the State to come help you fight the evil corporations is so counterproductive it just fucks my mind.

I'm all about change because this system of the beast is just killing us, but i think occupy wall street is unorganized, and a waste of time. they could be doing a lot more productive things instead of camping out.
But at least people are starting to wake up and look into things.
The revolution must happen soon before its too late. Time is running out

What protestors think of Corporations: Big corrupt hiarchy that steals money and rules the word.

Reality: Facebook, Redcross, Hospitals, Oil companies, etc... all corporations... Do they expect mom and pops' to run an Oil plant or hospital?

What protestors think of most rich people: Flashy playboys that inherited their money and rub it in everyones face and just have a HUGE pile of cash sitting doing nothing.

Reality of most rich people: Worked for their money while giving jobs to people, most of them invest it (Which helps the economy) Some donate it (Bill gates donating 90% of his wealth) Then they just spend it (WHICH HELPS THE ECONOMY AND MAKES JOBS)

I think they are trying to be like the Hippy movement but dont really have a powerful force like Acid to take it to the next level.

And they are being violent which is negative to thier image

Occupy Chapel Hill over here is, TBH quite stupid. THere are like 20 people overall and they are really just protesting capitalism, while calling their government Socialist lol.

Interestingly, a few months ago this summer in Israel they were protesting the high cost of living (It's actually really high, house prices have been through the roof forever) With tents and everything. one noght about 300,000 people went out to proteset

People are always going to find something to poke at when it comes to the rich. Can I blame them? No. IMO, good for them for being able to stand up for their belief's - whether its wrong or not.

I live in Tampa, FL. The protesters are getting tired, they can barely feed themselves yet they hold signs up all day. It's pathetic.
