scar vs. c++

is scar and c++ basically the same thing?

 

Scar is based on pascal while C++ is based on C. They aren't the same thing :O

C++ can be used for lots of things, SCAR is limited.

 

Yeah, two completely different things. One is only used for the creation of macro's (Which it's very good at) and the other is used for just about anything you could think of.

So, perhaps this isn't a very good question. Also, programming languages are better suited to a certain area. So, before asking what language would be best (Or anything similar) tell us what you want to be done.

Scar can be used for any type of [GAME] macroing, not only RS. Just btw...

 

if your wondering about learning scar or c++ go with c++. At least learn pascal (wich is out dated ,thats why i used the term "At least" )But c++ is a hard language for begginers learn realativley easy + something thats popular like Visual basic or c#(wich i can help you with);

 

Your poll has nothing to do with your question. You ask if they are the same thing, but the options are not relating to the question.

And no, they're not the same thing. They're very different. Scar is used to do stuff for runescape or something, whereas c++ is for just about everything else.

C++ = Hard & Advanced Programming Language

 

SCAR is limited all it can do pretty much is make your mouse move and click, though it can be very helpfull if there is a low security game. ( i always get banned when i use it in rs);

 

well i learned some of the basics in C++ and was just wondering if i could use it with the SCAR program.. i thought probabally not... I wasnt sure if it was the same language or not considering ive never really tried with SCAR.

thanks for helping.. and then ya if anyone wants to give me pointers on c++ it would be great. lol ive just learned basic strings and cin, cout statements.. also with strcopy as well.

 

I can't understand why people refer to SCAR as a real language. SCAR is just a program made in the language pascal. And C++ is a language of it's own.

 

SCAR was made in delphi, SCAR scripts are written in a pascal based scripting language

 

You can't compare scar with c++/c#. They are diferent things. You can compare c++ with delphi, cause scar was made with delphi. I was programming in delphi then went to c++. And personaly for me c++ is better programming language.

Nah, pascal isn't limited, just SCAR... since it's just a scripting engine that doesn't even allow for the bulk of necessary programming capabilities.
