P.C.Q. - Laptop Essentials. Looking for Tech G33ks!

Hello,

I've been browsing through different websites searching and comparing different laptop computers. I've picked four of my favorites thus far. (Will still continue to search and visit local stores!).

I'll be using the laptop I get for personal use (Skype, MSN, lots of Internet Pages will be running aswell), and for some botting.

I'm looking for a laptop that can handle atleast 5-10 bots running at once without any lag interruptions.

So Sythe, which one is the best choice ?

Please state why you KNOW for a fact it is a good choice.

I cant believe how cheap laptops are in america lol.. i just paid 1400$ for the toshiba satellite equivilent of option 4.

Also just a tip from a fellow botter.. i had 5 bots on my desktop + 4 on my laptop and after only 6 weeks my Harddrive failed. The only plus side to this is that i got what seems to be a 600Gb harddrive now instead of a 500Gb, but i also had to wait 2 weeks for repairs.. morale of the story is dont let your laptop get to ridiculous heats by botting an overloading it.

EDIT : i read through the spec more thoroughly and noticed that option 4 is only a dual core.. mine is a i7 so i retract my the above posts first line. I highly doubt you will be able to bot 4+ accounts effectively on any off these, as my old computer (desktop) was a quad core with 2gig ram and it barely ran 3 without hickups. It may work if your using RsBots.net an you set your globals all the way to the left after you set them up.. But i personally never tried it before i got my new comp.

I plan on using RSBots.net's AutoMinerPro to mine pure essence.

 

Imagine using an AlienWare Laptop. That'd be a beast!

If you just wanna run bots then 2 - 4 would be fine... if you wanna play other games then ull want 1 - 3

 

I'd go with the Sony as I've personally have software problems with 2 previous HP laptops.

 

Ok. Your going to need the best proccesor you can get thats all that reallys matters for running a lot of programs at once.

 

Go all out and get an Asus G series like I did

i series processor, standard memory + harddrive for its price

5-10 bots is probably pushing it for all the laptops you listed.

I'll keep option 4 as my #1 right now. I can find the same laptop for a cheaper price @ Staples, or Best Buy, that or just go to Frys. (If you don't know what Fry's is, you need to Google it, its a HUGE warehouse store for us n3rds <3).

 

I happen to have Option 3. The HP Pavillion DV6-3267CL that I use for browsing the web, MSN, Skype, all that good stuff, and I gotta say it's very, very fast and very capable of multi-tasking, but yeah I agree, option 4 is cheaper and is enough.

 

All of thouse can handle 5 bots...i am only use a i3 with 4gb of ram and i can do up to 8 if using rsbuddy and 4-5 if using nexus. Go with one of the ones that has a i5 in it.

If you want a good laptop that will last 4 years or so id buy something a little more top shelf

 

What type of brand do you recommend ?

 

If you wanna run 5-10 bots your going to obv need 16gb+ of ram to be lag free.

Will cost, but however if your running 10 bots at a time that's easy gp and can be sold. I wouldn't suggest letting them run 24/7 because processors are surly to burn up fast doing so much at once with java.
