[NEED help!] Computer fails to startup (restarts)

I had the same problem with my old HP laptop. I'm almost positive it's a hard drive failure, the best fix is to purchase a new hard drive - mine was something like $150. I haven't taken it in for repair because I had to buy a new one for college anyways, but if I was a betting man I would say that's the problem due to the fact that it has happened to me before. Take to your local computer shop, i.e. Geek Squad, Best Buy, etc.
