Hi readers,

I'd like to start this off by saying that my relationship to computers is that of a virgin male to a vagina. It doesn't exist.

So at the moment; I use a Imac 21.5 late 2013, 8gb ram, integrated graphics 1516mb and 1tb hard-drive. Before you pounce on me for using a Mac - I KNOW. I do a lot of editing, this ranges from videos to photos and I occasionally like to game too. So, I've decided that I've had quite enough of a Mac now, and I would like to sell it (for around £600) and buy a computer that I plan to build myself.

I want to spend around £600, this is not including a monitor, keyboard or mouse. Would someone be able to recommend a build for me? I also wouldn't mind buying a pre-built pc but I don't know where to look. All I know is that I want an I5 processor, around 8-16gb ram and a dedicated graphics card, probably an Nvidia 970/960x

What do you think?

If you'd like to give me more advice, please reply on here or add my skype: sir_amizle

All help would be greatly appreciated! C'mon Sythe community, help a brother out.

Quoting some advice I gave another person:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2485172,00.asp (Explanation of parts)

http://www.logicalincrements.com/ (General idea of how much to put into each component in a gaming computer and some part suggestions)

http://www.pcpartpicker.com/ (Put together part lists and share them)

As for putting it together, just look up any 'PC build guide 2015'.

Also if you have any questions feel free to post here or message me on skype.

would help to know where you are from, since you're budget is in brithis pound, i'll assume somewhere in the UK or so.

ill get back to you

this fits your budget with 8gb of ram and a GTX 970

for 40$ more, you can get this which adds a 250GB SSD and a R9 390 GPU instead of a GTX 970, which imo would be better
