How Messed Up Runescape Is

do you guys ever realise how messed up runescape is now? its full of bots but jagex wont do anything because without bots jagex would make a lot less money.. and now days in runescape you dont have to work for you gold you can just buy it. also there are phishers/keyloggers everywhere and you cant trust anyone on runescape anymore
people are gp hungry and are always coming up with new scams
jagex are letting people buy back their banned runescape accounts, and they stopped giving perm bans and are now giving 14 day bans
its kinda sad how bad runescape has gotten

 

It's how WoW is, but I don't think there are bots, just little Chinese and Japanese kids who are forced to grind rep and levels.

 

I'm having fun, so I'm not complaining. Nothing's perfect anyways.

It was bound to get this way. JaGeX doesn't care though because they're profiting hugely from the bots.
But I'm not sure but I think there will be less profiting for both botters and JaGeX soon as RuneScape will be 100% bots > goldfarmers get GP but can't sell to anyone as no one plays > which makes them quit their goldfarm > so less profit for JaGeX.

 

Everything has to die eventually. They might as well make the most money they can from paying bot users, but in a way they're killing themselves by allowing bots to run rampant. When nearly everyone bots, I'd expect most legitimate players to quit or start to bot, which will make the demand for rs items nonexistent and make the majority of bots quit, since most aim to have some return in rl currency.

So what are you telling me? FT will be removed of the bots? I doubt, they'd do that since it will make 1/2th of their members quit. Maybe if they do it, they'd do it as a last resort when the profit is ground low.

 

Any of the less populated worlds at ge and lummy in particular in chat box is flooded with bot spamming rwt sites, there is just too many for jagex to handle everyday new lvl 3 bots created just to spam

 

i kind of agree about jagex letting bots run rampant and almost everyone will turn to botting but then runescape is just going to be who can run their bot the most which is stupid

I can't think of a game with similar popularity to which such a thing hasn't happened, tbh.

 

I agree that the RS community is shit seeing as how 90% are pixel huggers but everything is fine with me. PKing is the only fun thing that keeps me playing RS anymore. That's why all I do is bot and PK.

 

Runescape has been like this, I was one of the old players of RS when the poll was released for bringing back the old wilderness and free trade.

I voted because at the time it seemed like the best thing to me, turns out now, I can't go anywhere without seeing a bot, and yes I know it was like this always but as time goes by, the game gets an exponential number of more bots.

In conclusion, I have joined the black market to sell my account that I have been playing on the most, before there is so much gold that nobody needs to buy anymore, turning RSGP/Accounts into worthless virtual items.

 

Get money out of the game, and have fun on it as long as it lasts.

 

F2P Irons were filled with 10 people per ore...
Sorc's Garden wasn't filled with hundreds of ants before FT...

It's messed up, but I hope JaGex unleashes some sort of "Super-secret weapon" even though that's probably not gonna happen.

 

The game is a shell of its former self. Mil prices are shit, pking is shit. The game is probably very enjoyable for those who treat it like an rpg. PvM would be better I'd imagine with all the new updates and ge, but nothing else feels remotely the same

 

Botting in F2P is lame and you dont make any money, so jagex profits off your desires for more fake money. I think the bots have always been there they just cost alot before and were easy to track down. When Jagex added the GE and removed the wild I quit that very day. I was never there for the inbetween so I dont know what happened, I just came back and Runescape was a VERY VERY different game then the one I quit.

 

This. I still remember the horde of botters at yews with the default char.

It's a sad truth that we will have to accept. RS is overrun by bots now, and it was all because Jagex decided to bring back Free Trade and boost their profits.
