Suggestions For Newcomer

Was wondering any good ways to earn the community trust and is donating worth it? and how much is a good donation to start doing some trades.

 

Imo these are questions you should be asking yourself. Do you have any talents such as GFX? Passion for any games you can open a service on? Money to throw into donations? If so, are your motives for donating positive and worthwhile? Considering your post count and relatively random display name -- I'd suggest just being active within the community and going from there really.

Do some free services for people for vouches and ask them to also mention how much you were trusted with. Eventually move on to small trades then go big.

 

Remember if you start Questing | Skilling services, vouches come slow depending on the orders always take 1 - 3 quests per time that way you'll gain more vouches in short period of time, earning trust is difficult especially when your a newcomer (not saying im not) either way best of luck with whatever you do man

 

I started out selling low level accounts and doing free training. It's easier to do those trades because low level accounts (like pures) are less likely to be recovered since they don't have high value. Also, offering free training will get you more customers. It takes time.

Important note: If the person you are dealing with seems to be in a hurry or just down right impatient with you, it's most likely an attempted scam. There's no reason to get desperate for trades and get scammed. It's a process and try to only work with people who come off as nice. Of course, this can also lead to being scammed so you can also use a free MM or an OMM (for a small fee). I would also suggest staying away from Paypal since chargebacks are so damn easy.

 

The best thing to do with donating is go by your post count, you don't want to be a $100 donor and only have 82 post count. You should have it set to like every 250-500 Posts you donate more and more along as your vouches go with you. If you want to get fast vouches you can sell bonds for a cheap price/ swap gold for good rates/ free skilling/free questing, etc.

 

Vouches should be the only way of trust you should go by.

If someone donates $100, then they can scam $200 and make off more than they came, so profiting $100. If someone has 4,000 post count yet has 0 vouches, you still shouldn't trust them because they could scam $100, and make off a profit of $100.

It's hard to judge if you can trust someone, especially over the internet.

 

That post count thing is bullshit. Yeah the years someone dedicates on Sythe is gonna go down the drain for $100 profit.
