Please explain.

Why people get 70 range on strength pures with no intent on ranging while they PK?
I'm not talking about any of the following:
- FTP Range/2h.
- Knife/Maul.
- Range/Maul.

Im talking about these accounts:
60/90/1
Range - 70
Mage - 90
Pray - Irrelevant.

EDIT: Was hoping it would be for another reason besides the ability to wear D'Hide. Sorry for the lame thread. Thankyou to all replies.

I'd do it for the armor that you can wear at 70 range, other than that if they're not using knives or any other ranging item there is no point.

 

For Armor/Hp Exp.

 

Black dhide vambs and chaps? Maybe for the extra hp xp as well, or maybe they just like training:huh:

 

looks. black dhide and stats look even + then range will be ranked

 

Still seems so pointless.
Black dhide vamps and chaps stats are poor at best.

 

Might seem pointless, but that's the reason.

 

Im guessing the amour to protect you from ancient magiks.

Here is a comparison.
Iron platelegs + Addy gloves VS Black D'hide Vamps + Chaps.

Also, if you have a strength pure with 90 strength and 90 hp the combat level will be 52, with 70 ranged it will be 56. So no big difference.
