Need A Tissue?

Apparently at the usual World 66 Riot, this time for the Combat Beta, Mod Mark asked the rioters, "Need A Tissue?"

What do you think of this?

I think it's great, if he said something like, "The combat update will be coming whether you riot or not," would have gotten more rioting and everyone would've brushed it off as another JMod response. You need to give the immature kids the immature reply to get their attention.

 

Well it's true, it doesn't matter if half the population of RS rioted, IT'S STILL GOING TO HAPPEN! I stopped hating on Jagex on the RSOF a while ago because it won't make ANY difference whatsoever.

 

Why were they complaining? Were they mad that they did not get into the combat beta? Everyone can use it on the weekends...

 

I think the response is pretty witty. Honestly it better relates to the immature RS community like you said, my opinion has doesn't seem to be any different than yours.

 

The usual RS will Die with the update. They are mad because they make pures and now pures are obsolete with the Beta. And everyone will have 200 Combat so it devalues theirs. They also say that Runescape is turning into WoW so they should go play that. Either way they can riot and waste their time and money all they want.

 

Through the rioting, Jagex always sticks to their decision. I honestly don't remember one time rioting stopped them besides the old Swiftkit riot when it was known as Swiftswitch and Jagex claimed that it was a malicious program and users would get into trouble for using it.

 

Got an issue? Get a Tissue.

tl;dr The Riots are a joke. They never accomplish anything and never have sufficient man power to make a dent in the decision. Regardless though Jagex will modernise RS.

 

RuneScape riots are completely, and utterly stupid and pointless. They are also overdone to the point where they have absolutely zero effect (not that they ever did in the first place). But I mean at least in the past when Jagex has REALLY fucked some shit up - like when they removed the wilderness way back when - the massive riots all over the game probably caught a little bit of Jagex's attention and I'm sure they were aware of how shocked, angry, and betrayed the majority of the community felt. So in a way, it accomplished something small, and was one of the only things people could do to show Jagex how upset they were.

Nowadays there is an endless parade of 12 year old kids who riot over every single update, and the rioters just end up looking pathetic and cause me to shake my head. There is no grand cause anymore, and after past experience, it was pretty evident that riots or no riots, Jagex doesn't give a shit what the players think. They will do as they see fit, regardless of what the general population wants.

As for Mod Mark, he is a nerdy little pansy. Who cares what he said to the rioters.

I never understand the point of a riot? the only thing it helps with is getting kids muted or getting yourself muted.

as far as mods remarks to anything i learned to tune it out because honestly they do not care about your opion, so why care about theirs?

It just shows that Jagex isn't a serious company. If any other CEO of a company said that to one of their customers they would have been fired instantly.

Mark Gerhard is ruining the game very well in an unprofessional matter. Sadly, this is most likely what the Gower brothers didn't want the game to turn into. The older staff before the newfag CEO came were a lot kinder, and respected the well being of all players. This probably isn't the type of staff that should be in charge of the game.

Either troll, or you don't play rs. Or... most likely, you're just getting up post count. Anyway, it's because of the combat update coming in late August and they're upset with the beta.

 

Rioting isnt really professional either if you dont like the changes being made, then quit. I always thought the saying "the customers always right" is bunch of bs.

 

Well, the new combat system is a bit flawed, and i can't blame the rioting.
And i think mod mark should at least show his whole player base respect - not acting like a kid infront of his players.

 

Runescape riots are very stupid, and do not do anything, but the Runescape players need a outlet to express how they feel. For some reason they cannot post on the forums about their concerns about the beta, they need to "CAP LOCK RAGE" in game... idiots.

 

The only way I think jagex would listen is If like 75% of players boycotted the game but I can't see that happening.

Rioting does fuck all, if anything it gives Jagex some entertainment to watch while they're stuck in their hot stuffy offices all day. With what Mod Mark said, he basically meant "either love it or hate it, you'll play the game anyway". People will bitch for a month or two then resume playing, just like every other update.

 

Its the beta give it time, they're not changing the system to ruin the game but to improve it.
