Need a PHP Programmer

I need a PHP programmer to help me with a project of mine.

Long story short, I came across a forum software online. I downloaded it, and it was a piece of shit. Almost no features, horrible designs, etc. I talked to the owner, and he told me that he was giving up on it, and gave me full rights to continue it. He deleted the download link, and told me I can do whatever I want with it.

I'm more on the designing and HTML side of things.

Anyways, I'm opening up a gaming forum, and we will always be editing it, to fix bugs and stuff. And once the software is perfect, we may sell it and you will receive half of the payments.

The user end is pretty much flawless. We just need a few features added like a report a post feature. Also the AdminCP sucks, you can barely do anything from it, we need to fix that. And also there are a few security issues regarding HTML posting, and uploading malicious files via the avatar upload system.

Here's what we need to do:

1. Fix the avatar upload system, so it's only .JPG, .GIF, and .PNG files that can be uploaded.
2. Make it so you can't post HTML in posts or in your signature.
3. Make it so moderators and administrators can move posts to other sections (without having to go into PhpMyAdmin).
4. Replace the current text editor with a new one (current one doesn't work in Internet Explorer).
5. Work on the AdminCP (the AdminCP pretty much can't do anything atm. Everything is done by PhpMyAdmin, which I find confusing).

In short, I am saying that you're wasting your time. There are tons of free software available, and even better paid ones.

 

I don't understand why I should use any of those when this one is nearly complete.

 

What I meant to say is, what do you have that's new? The boards that I mentioned (and even the paid ones that I left out) have been around for a long time, have tons of members and huge communities. What can you do that these can't? Sure, anyone can write a message board system, but can you give me a reason to buy yours over another?

 

I need a developer to help me make my hobby forum. And in the future, if he/she wants to continue working, maybe we can release it and make money off it. Or just release it as a open source project, and let people donate.
