What is a cheap nice gaming laptop.[400$ spending limit]

Sorry man, but with $400 the best games you are going to be able to play on a laptop is runescape, on medium maybe.

 

laptop for gaming under 400? I'd be hard-pressed to give you an answer on that one. a 400 dollar laptop will not be able to run games at settings worth even mentioning. even going with a laptop that has a high-end integrated videocard still won't be able to play games very well, and still won't be within your price range. Look to craigslist or ebay for a used one...that's pretty much your only option unless you come up on your price by about 200. Then, you'll be able to play some games with low-med settings at decent frame rates.

 

Hmm if thats the case. I could go up post some that are fairly cheap and are good for gaming, will just be playing runescape, mostly for botting. Maybe some other games.

 

this is about the best thing I could find, with a dedicated graphics solution and all. It has a decent processor, decent RAM(easily upgradeable, and cheap), pretty big hard drive, a fairly decent video card(supports dx11 & shader model 5.0, which is a plus) fairly nice speakers(beats audio w/ a built-in subwoofer, which are okay but nothing splendid)

this thing is by no means a monster laptop, but its hardware is compatible with the latest games. It won't, however, play any of the latest games on ultra settings. Or high.. and maybe some on medium. But for the most part, you're looking at low-med settings at the native resolution. Nonetheless, you're not going to find better for the price...sorry.

it is refurbished, yes. But there's nothing wrong with that. But newegg has stellar customer service, and you'll still get a warranty on the laptop btw. If i was on your budget, I wouldn't hesitate.
watch out with the HP's though, they run hot. download your preferred monitoring program, and keep an eye on that things temps. HP simply doesn't know how to design a cooling system on their laptops.

You probably already know this, but PCs (desktops) far our perform laptops, especially in gaming. Though you'll probably have to go up to actually get decent gear, you could make a fairly good rig if you save your pennies for a month.

 

oops forgot to post a link, and now my internet is not wanting to open newegg. Go to their laptops, go to refurbished laptops, sort by lowest price, and it's the 429$ HP DV7 laptop. should be the second thing from the top of the list.

 

You'd get the most out of your money if you built your own Pc. Does it have to be a laptop?

 

No, but id really like a laptop because i already have a Desktop with 6gb Of ram. So thats why i want a laptop, and yes. Im prolly gonna save my money abit longer.

 

Why get a laptop if you already have a pc? I feel that once you game on a pc you can't go to a laptop unless it's a direct upgrade (and even then the resolution bugs me)

There's no such thing, unless it's used and sold to you by a close friend whose feeling generous. On a side suggestion, why not by another 4 gigs of ram?

 

You'd be cheaper off simply upgrading your desktop. Perhaps you could do a combination. Buy a crappy laptop and have like 2 bots on it + upgrade your current desktop and run a few on that as well.

If you want to do this purely for botting I would build a cheap computer for $400-$500. You can build a pretty nice botting rig in that price range. AMD Phenom X4 / 8 gb ram / gtx 550ti / mobo / hdd would be around that price range I'd say.
