Help With X-box Live Please!!

Hi, for some reason i cant connect to x box live ,when i try the network conection some times it fails on the MTU settings and some times it passes them all and then fails on the download.. any one have any ideas please

 

did it register you ip/subnet mask and all of those correctly?

 

do u have good internet?

I had the same problem. You don't have a compatible modem, and you need a new one. Check out their list of compatible modems.

 

problem shouldnt be the modem if xbox live can auto detect the ip and submask ect.

 

Trust me, that's the only reason you can fail that test, other than your modem not being fast enough, which still requires a new modem.

 

well i dont think hes is going wireless from his modem to his xbox, so if he is using a ethranet cable from the modem stright to his xbox speed shouldnt be a problem becaue it would just be lagging his xbox live it would be lagging everything eles on his network now wouldnt it

Just make sure the modem is on that list.

 

Whats the submask....

Whenever I try and get on it says,
