m5city got banned when his msn got hacked

Basically I was talking to m5city on msn and his account on sythe was banned for scamming. Truth is, his msn was hacked. Now I will be referring everything to this thread: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=648670 because thats the proof that the m5city imposter was scammed.

Now here is a pic of my transactions with power4rs and I will refer to them. The whole point of this pic is to show the amount of money that I sent you can cross reference it with paypal.



Now for the transaction for $29.98

For the $7.16 transaction

Now here is the deal, if you noticed the scam report for the $1900 USD the picture of the transaction is that the cash is sent to the person George Chou, his paypal being [email protected]. In my transactions with the REAL m5city, the cash was sent to THE BUSINESS: POWER4RS.COM ---THE PAYPAL BEING [email protected].
ALSO NOTICE THAT MY PICS FOR THE TRANSACTION IS SHOWING THE M5CITY HAS HIS PAYPAL AS A BUSINESS. FOR THE TRANSACTION PICS OF THE HACKED MSN WHO SCAMMED USING THAT MSN - YOU CAN TELL THAT THE PAYPAL ACCOUNT IS NOT A BUSINESS BECUASE IT DOES NOT SAY BUSINESS NAME!

CLEARLY THIS IS AN IMPOSTER AND M5CITY DESERVES TO BE UNBANNED!

 

The email used to conduct the conversation was his (whether it's hacked or not, he's responsible for it).
We're still discussing the situation.

 

So if i'm not mistaken Darkgroove, he has to pay it all back to be unbanned?

 

He also has 2 other msn accounts. And as a little side note it said "[email protected] HACKED!" what more could you do? Its not like he purposely got hacked and hes legit. he doesnt deserve to be banned.

IMO I've provided enough proof to get him unbanned now its just a basic question. Do you ban somebody for having their msn hacked or do you unban them when there is enough proof laid out infront of you to proove it was a hacker?

oh and also even for special orders such as the $1900 case m5city ALWAYS makes sure the payments are made through on his website. Even if its custom like that $1900 one. For example, I see this on his thread all the time, here is a pic where m5city added a custom order to his thread (the pin one is always there but the 10m for $35 is not and it is a custom/discounted order.

But to continue the discussion, did he even let anyone know that his msn was hacked? He didn't post it on his thread did he?

 

I think we made an announcement about it a while back and I'm pretty sure he said so in one of his threads, however the user that provided us with the proof has been gone for some time, and thus claims to have no way of knowing that the email was hacked.

 

He didnt I guess but it did happen really fast. But look what m5city had written on his thread, this is a direct quote: "Before you place an order, please understand the following; m5city will never ask for or discuss information regarding your account username and password via msn. All information will be processed through the website via power4rs.com. All information given throught msn will be at the account owners own risk and m5city will not be responsible for refunding any lost items or time because of a serizure of the account via hackers, Jagex, or for any other reason."

Note: he always had that notice up, he never just added it the moment before he got hacked.

basically in the quote he said if anything like this just happened he wouldnt be giving any refunds. And the transaction of the $1900 was made over msn not on his website

 

Then its clearly not his fault. He posted in his thread. The guy who got scammed didn't pay any attention to it/didn't see it.

M5city should not be forced to pay it back.

Yes and also look in his gp thread it wasnt updated that his msn was hacked but his powerlevelling thread (which I remember him saying is more active) was updated.

He had the quote in very large size and in red bolded so yeah it is the guys fault who got scammed for not paying attention

 

Necromancer, the user was banned so he couldn't see sythe.

 

IMO, that disclaimer says enough.
By adding his msn you agree to his rules, but I can understand the buyer didn't have access to sythe.

 

This is currently being discussed by staff and the traders involved. I've already talked to M5 (at length) and am waiting to speak to Rs2 again.

If the MSN was hacked and the trade took place before he alerted users, he is responsible to pay it back. He runs a business, but he is just as responsible as anyone for keeping his MSN's safe. Despite the disclaimer, he has done pin trades directly over MSN (with that MSN and paypal) with rs2 in the past, and there is no reason to assume rs2 knew how the trade 'should' have been done.
