Need a Business Idea for College

I'm at college and we have to brainstorm lots of different business ideas, anyone want to help me out and give me some ideas (small start-up cost)?

The competition is to come up with a viable and innovitive business plan, and its out of the whole of UK, if I come 1st I win £3k, and get a bunch of other extras.

Give me the best idea!

 

Rent minifridges and televisions to students so that they don't have to drag them back and forth from wherever they are from. Minifridges are extremely cheap so there is a low start up cost and you'll have made your money back after renting them for just about 2 years, maybe less. Televisions are also not particularly expensive and you can scale up here as well.

They are talking about an IDEA. So this is easy if you just think about an idea.

Most ideas in the real world will NOT work even if they have the correct figures backing up the idea.

For example you can buy something for £50 put a 10% markup on it and thats £5 you have made. sell that item 100 times a day that is £500 a day PROFIT (minus tax etc etc)

easiest idea would to suggest a buy and sell company. Buy pirticular product in a good niche and sell for more (buying in bulk / direct from manufacture)

 

~100 people enter in the UK and only 6 people are short-listed to pitch this idea, they're looking for a very creative, yet viable business that you would "spend" the £3k on to start it up if you win. By winning there's a lot of media coverage you have to do, and you represent the next year's challenge.

The product I need is a business plan including figures, marketing techniques, and the idea of course.

I don't actually have to initiate any marketing as of yet, its all fictional and just a plan.

 

Look around you.

You have retail stores (maby find a niche there?)
You have companys that sell one type of product like shoes n watches n tht crap (pick a niche aswell)
Short term loans?
Some type of activity like paintballing but do it like its not been done before?
