    Stomach Problems

    Hey Sythe,

I have been to the doctors plenty of times, and even the ER a few times all due to an unstable stomach. I have had tests done, and I cannot seem to find the culprit.

The main symptom that KILLS me is these sulfur like, rotten egg burps that as a child, I would get right before throwing up. I now get these for hours on end, usually between the hours of 5 pm till 9 am. Odd right? I also frequently have irregular bowel movements and usually have a night of throwing up every 2 weeks or so. It simply does not leave me alone. Does anyone have any idea what this might be and what I need to do?

Well none of us are going to be as good as your doctor.

But by the sounds of the times you have just given it sounds like something you're eating/drinking could be causing it. Is there anything you have most nights?

No set pattern, yet it still happens.

The main thing I hate is the burps, any ideas on how to avoid these?

my guess is tape worm or stomache aulsers but i would check with a doctor, tape worm being most relavent since you said between 5-9 which is when tape worms lay there eggs at night time inside your stomache usually after you eat a large meal. they lay about 10,000 eggs a night. also would explain the unsual bowel movements. but like i said its not like anyone on here is gonna have a PHd or anything.

Might have IBS (Irritable Bowel Sydrome). It's where your bowel goes into a "spasm" and causes pain and makes you need the toilet. More can be found here: http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Irritable-Bowel-Syndrome.htm. Also, don't start reading into it and make yourself think you have something alot worse. Good luck :)

IBS doesn't give you burps like that.

    For the OP again.
Although you may not think its food, it could be, write down and keep notes of what you're eating.

I have cereal and orange juice in the morning, a sandwich (different type every day ). I also have a coke in the afternoon. For dinner, it varies alot, fromm pastas to steaks to salads to pizza. These meals are either home made or from a resteraunt, about 50/50 .I also usually have a coke right after dinner.

It doesnt matter what it is though, im sick for half the month for every month. Its wierd and its affecting my schoolwork. Ugh.

try mixing in a very small bit of salt, and a teaspoon of baking soda in half a glass of warm water. I dont know how serious your condition is, but this always helps me when idk whats going on with my stomach. Tell me if it helps or not

I cut out the coke for a week, however last night I went to a restraunt after about 9 days with no symptoms, and I was sick for 32 hours, I am alright now though.

Tried that when I was sick, no noticeable help.

    Stomach Problems

I too have bad stomach problems, mostly a sharp pain in my stomach after eating certain foods which last about 20 minutes and I also have Gerd. I have also been to several doctors about my stomach pain as well as having my stomach scoped but they didn't find anything. I noticed in your post that you eat a lot of bread. It is possible you have a gluten intolerance. It was suggested to me that I could have had that.
