Necessities for a useful POH?

I am currently 70 construction and only ever trained it to get Korasi, so basically I've had no interest in actually constructing a POH whatsoever. I have noticed though that alot of people use their houses for all sorts of things, and often use house teletabs to teleport to their house so they can charge prayer, use a teleportation portal, change outfits/grab items etc.

I have finally decided I want to construct just a "basic" POH so that I can actually make use of my house for the things listed above, and also so I have my own private guilded altar to train to 99 prayer on.

Since I really don't know a damn thing about construction (or skilling in general, lol), I thought I would ask all you experts here on Sythe:

What are the necessary things that I should include in my POH with my current con level? Things such as a glory, portal chamber, altar etc?

I'm not looking for a super fancy house, I just want one that will be useful to me and make alot of things in RS such as travelling etc. much smoother.

 

glory, diferent teleports and altar would be the escential

 

Also; a summoning obelisk if you want that, those are pretty helpful.

Any idea what level you need to be to create one, and what materials or room you need?

 

Level 77 construction.
Prayer alter.
Dungeon with fire pit. (get spec back e.t.c)
Glory room.
Teleport rooms.

Thats all you need.

Prayer Altar
2 Portal Rooms to cover teh major teleports
1 Glory Teleport
Summoning/Pet Menagerie

 

Gilded altar, summoning obelisk, teleport rooms, glory room.

 

G altar and set up is essential. Glories + G altar + portals.

 

Definately a Glory on the wall. So when you pk and tele to house you can run back and get loots quick. A teleportation room for easy canafis tele's etc

 

I say: Gilded altar with marble burners for max prayer xp, teleports to all cities (especially Canafis), lecterns for making teletabs, summoning obelisk to recharge summoning, 2 bedrooms with beds (required for servant) so you can train construction quickly, a kitchen can be helpful in making many things (gives unlimited free supplies), a quest hall with a glory teleport, a costume room for storing un-needed apparel (saves a lot of bank space), and finally a workshop with an armor stand for repairing barrows (Half off if 99 smithing).

Not sure what kinds of things you do, but I just covered the most useful things in a POH.

I think I pretty much have a list assembled now of all the basic things I need, so I can do further research into what I need to create those things on my own. Thanks everybody who posted.

 

make sure you arrange your house like...


portals... glory....portal into house....summoning thing
... portals.......altar...

where it's connected, so you only have to go though one or two rooms max for any of those things

 

Heres things you should have in your house...

Gilded altar with burners: Obv. prayer restore & training
Glory amulet teleport: Quick banking and prayer training
Summoning obelisk: REstore summon after boss hunt
A dining room: For quick construction training on tables
2 bedrooms: for servant and very quick construction training
Workshop: for barrows fixing and questing
