If the name is that mentioned in Ice's post, definitely worth more than 300m. For scale I just sold the name Persephone for 202.5m who is not even a god/goddess. Granted she's a prominent and well-known figure, but if I could fetch that much then the name you pc'd would definitely exceed 1b to the right buyer if not more.

Idk how well god/goddess names sell and also several can be spelled in a couple different ways

Also, I do not think it would come nearly that high, even to the right buyer. Although I've never dealt with god or goddess names.
However, if Persephone got that much for being such a long name either someone really wanted to throw money or I'm undervaluing these names lol

I think you're definitely undervaluing these names. The names are very niche but to the right buyers they fetch loads. Especially considering there is such a limited availability on major gods/goddesses. I'd say as far as Greek mythology goes, there are only about a dozen or so major gods/goddesses. Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Athena, Demeter, Dionysus, Hades, Hephaestus, Hera, Hermes, Hestia, Poseidon, and Zeus. I'd say those are the ones that would bring in big bucks, some more than others obviously. There are also a lot of other Greek mythology names that would bring in a pretty penny, whether gods or goddesses or not. Persephone for example, as well as Hercules, Cupid, Pan, Aura, Helios, Iris, Kratos, Morpheus, Nemesis, Nike, Nyx, Perseus, Pandora, etc.

 

I agree with this 100%; High-end "popular" mythology names are widely sought after and used in any type of archaic/fantasy MMO game.

And while we're at it:

Apollo - ~105m 07
Ares - 150m 07
Poseidon - ~150m 07
Zeus - 225m+ 07
Ra - ~225m 07
Anubis - ~35-45m 07
Osiris - ~35-40m 07

Other big hitter, notable names such as Cupid (which btw, fun fact: is a classical god, his greek counterpart is 'Eros' - heh, us weebz are probably familiar with this :>) could fetch up to 200m + 07 to the right buyer.

Hercules/Heracles - ~250m+ 07 for both variations of the spelling; goes without saying since this name is the classic titan of Greek lore.

The female names i.e. Athena, Aphrodite, Pandora etc - I can see easily fetch upwards of ~150m 07+.

'Aura' could easily be sold for ~200m+ 07

Lower tier names like Hestia would be around the ~25-50m 07 range.

I try to be as objective as possible but these prices are probably a bit on the higher end because I personally favor these names.

Yeah. In some cases one variant of the the name is worth more than its counterpart. For example Cupid > Eros and Hercules > Heracles, etc. Still both worth a lot, but I think Hercules and Cupid would be worth more than Eros and Heracles. That's just two examples. I'm a total dweeb when it comes to Greek/Roman mythology as well. ^_^ I guess it can heavily depend on the buyer's interest(s) though. Considering a lot of the major gods Roman names are that of planets, that could influence the pricing. Everyone knows the planets, but not everyone knows the gods/goddesses. Like Hermes and Mercury. Or Ares and Mars. Etc.

 

Thing is it took a while for you to find the right buyer for Persephone. While I'm sure some of those names could be worth a lot to those who know the figure and are interested in mythology, it may take a while for that buyer to appear. I think the previous valuations were what the name would go at to the general public.

 

Exactly. My friend purchased ares back when 07 first released and got it for the equivalent of 600m rs3. The thing is, people are most only interested in Zeus (nfs), poseidon (banned), and hades. Those are the names that are most likely to have values over 200m 07. Other Greek god names that may fetch over 100m 07 are: artemis, apollo, athena, hera, cupid, and nike.

The problem is simply finding the right buyer. With that I believe you can get the right price.

I can see Kratos/Cratus going for ~75-100m+ 07. The latter probably not as much as the first.

Name is worth nothing.

I can see Dattebayo maybe being worth a little something... Like in the 1-5m Rs3 range. And that's being really, really generous.

The rest are worth nothing because of the honorifics. Similar to how names with suffixes and prefixes are worth infinitely less than the primary word.
