There's a reason why in many jurisdictions entrapment is a good defense in court if that is what happened.

You persuade a person to commit a crime they are unlikely to commit. Luckily I dont believe anyone who was unlikely to scam was caught. If you saw the conversation they had with punjabi, that was a few steps too far for example.

If someone borrows money from me, and doesnt pay me back, do I consider them a scammer? Should I? I gave them the chance is the problem. And some people I know have never paid me back and they just pretend to forget. It is not the same situation, but when you give people a chance, there is no telling what humans would do.
