New one has already been announced and is scheduled to be released on October 30th of this year. Definitely a big change from the rest. This one takes place during the American Revolution. I can't wait to see how this will turn out.

I bought assassin's creed, played a bit, never finished. I bought assassin's creed 2, did the same thing. I repeated it again for brotherhood and revelations as well. Every time I see the game I think it is going to be amazing, but then I just get bored. I really feel like they are just glorified button mashers. However I will probably get this game just because they are the first company that has had the balls to venture into this time period.

Really? I've only played Brotherhood and I didn't think it was a button masher at all. I think of Mortal Combat, UFC Undisputed or even Devil May Cry when I think of button mashers. I thought the fighting style in Brotherhood was great and different than any game I've ever played. It was real smooth and you only needed to press a couple of times and then you could take out everyone in one combo just by moving the analog stick towards them. I can see how some people find the game repetitive though, but I was still able to finish it before I finally got bored of it.

Eh, I'll buy it when it come's out just because it'll be new at the time, but I'm not really a Assassin's creed fan cause it does get pretty boring after awhile.
    Halo 4's another story.

Yeah I doubt I'll get it right when it comes out. Halo 4 and GTA 5 come out around the same time and they're on the top of my list. I like Assassin's Creed a lot, but I have to be in the right mood for it. I still haven't played Revelations and I'm not really dying to at the moment since I just beat Brotherhood not that long ago.

I didn't even realize that GTA 5 is coming out, that's a game now that I'm pumped for. The GTA series has always been a favorite of mine for as long as I've been basically playing games.

Revelations was 80% milked to be honest, was bored all the way through. Resembles a reskinned Brotherhood.

Looks like it'll be an interesting time period, doubt it will have any major differences to the previous ones that will make it worth purchasing though.

I'm confused. I don't see how people actually think Assassin's Creed is a button masher. You probably don't know how to fight correctly. The fighting system is very smooth and you can take out all targets in one combo just by pointing your analog sticks towards them. If you just keep pushing buttons, then you aren't doing it right. I've played a lot of button mashers in my days and AC definitely isn't one.

Interesting change up. Even though recent assassins creed games have been disappointing, I'll have to check this out.
