    My first attempt at photoshop

First one: Too much blank space. The render isn't blended into the background at all, and the text is the wrong color/font/placement. And that 1 px border is really ugly.

Second one: Over use of a nice brush. Tone it down a bit, but add a few colors, and fix your damn text.

Third: No offense, But using a car render for a sig is so ridiculously generic. The flames look too much like they were done my someone with real experience with photoshop, and I'm not quite sure someone of your skill level could accomplish that. Also, change your text.

When you build up the smudging, you also need to build down the car to suit it, so as there is little contrast.

see i don't know if it is luck or what it was but maybe it was the colour of the car the red made the background look good. i tried with a different one and also with other things then cars but im not finished yet.

Got a neat little technique there, but you need to develop your other skills.

Learn blending options (you can learn it by playing around with it).
It can be accessed by double clicking the layers image(? im not sure, havent used photoshop in maybe a month now)

I was going to comment on your cropping abilities, or lack of, but that 4th image (the mustang) was cropped alright.

You text - use a mix of filters and blending options.
I dont recommend using a brush instead of text.... download fonts from
http://dafont.com/ and go to http://webdesign.org/ for some hints and tips :)

Hope i helped - i love to see people taking up photoshop.
