It's occurred to me recently that I hate the type of world we live in at the moment. Don't get me wrong, not all people are like this, but a growing number of our society just seems, "stupid". When you go back a 100 years, people were interested in exploration, the world, and ect. I really don't know how to explain this, but I feel like the society we live in is fake, the same old same old celebrity shit goes on day after day.

If I could choose to, I wouldn't mind to live in a "fallout" society. I'm referencing the Video game fallout, a post war society where there is no bullshit, just survival. I mean, does anyone know what I mean?

    So what is your question?

You'd prefer to live in a games depiction of reality?

No, I'd prefer to live in a society where it's members were focused on the society, and not on themselves.

There are those certain people that focus on the society like the government... why would we need more than the government? Government are doing their thing and if you want to be in it, you can... others rely on the government and try to enjoy their lives as best as they could.

That curiosity of more land to be discovered is probably in no one's head. People like NASA are curious about other planets and this is what they're doing... exploring.

So what you say is that society has drifted from the times of Captain Cook where people cared about the society over themselves, to our current situation where people care about themselves over society?

I don't think there really has ever been a form of society where everyone cares for others over themselves. But if you want to live in a 'post war' society where survival is the key cause of life then you would find people would care even more about themselves than they do now.

You do know that people interested in that sort of thing were of such a minority it's not even funny correct? The majority of the people were just like people now, content with their surroundings.
Society is the same now as it was 100 years ago, just the situations by which we are the same changes.

You do know that in fallout almost everyone is looking out for themselves and hell...you have the option to blow up an entire city and kill everyone with almost no penalties.

Fallout was a glorified version of a actual fallout society. Very few humans would work together, I can garauntee you that there wouldn't be that many towns and cities, cannabalism would be much more prevelant, etc etc. Watch book of ELI that gives a lil bit better of a representation.

I understand what you mean. Not the fallout thing, but the people being stupid. One thing I've noticed is that it is very hard to find people who are genuinely interested in learning things. It's hard to find people to have intelligent conversation with. All people wanna talk about is personal bullshit and stuff they see on tv. idk yea other things too
