    My theory on "ghosts"

This theory may be full of holes and shit but hear me out.

Humans have energy.(as we all know)

Energy cannot be created no destroyed.

What if we die our energy is released and has no where to go?

Since it cannot be destroyed where would it go?

That is why i think when some one says a house is haunted and how some few people died there, i think well what if not there soul stayed there, but just their energy?

IDK Crackpot theory w/e what i think though :p

Yea i guess thats true, but if we ''evolved" (which im not saying we did) would it have made a difference. I dont really know honestly how to explain it.

You say the energy can't go anywhere once it's released. Then according to you, anything that was once ever living now has a spirit on earth. Besides the energy given off by humans is heat and minerals. Anything around us will absorb the heat and the minerals will be absorbed by plant life.

This theory is wrong. The fact is...when somebody dies, they go away, forever. Nothing stays behind. There is no proof to show that this is true.

You are misinterpreting the law of Conservation of Matter/Energy.

Humans are comprised of energy, which is locked up in atoms and molecules. When we die, our bodies decay. Some molecules break apart, and their constituents drift off into the surrounding area. That's all that happens.

You think THAT is a bs idea, hear this one

There are quite possibly many dimensions and in those dimensions are alternate versions of us.

When we die, our souls or w.e go to the next dimension but since each dimension has a different set of variables to it, each of our alternate versions dies at a different point.

Our 'Souls' have certain markers to them and 2 of the same markers cannot exist in the same dimension at once soooo when we die, our 'soul' awaits until the next dimensions version of it dies and once it gets all the way down the line (in other words, all of our versions die) our 'souls' are passed on.

Ghosts are simply those of us whom have died and are awaiting for the other version of use to die so it can go to the next dimension for who the heck knows what, maybe recreation? =p

Bwahahahahaha *SIDENOTE* maybe this is why there are children whom recall that they have died before, because their 'soul' wasn't wiped clean of all memories when it arrived to the dimension and/or why the children, after a certain age, completely forget what they mentioned before because their slate has finally been whiped clean. Then again, for this to actually work with what i've said, the soul would have had to made a complete cycle of all dimensions or whatever you wish to call them.

This little idea is not linked to any religious belief nor does it coincide with any scientific background to support it

Keep in mind i expect to be ridiculed for this Odd, More than Infintessimally Vaguely Believable Idea, what can i say, at least we had the imagination to let our minds wander and be able to throw it out in the open, so if you intend on ridiculing this, at least make it half decent and/or include your own explanation of what ghosts could be.

The energy in your body is converted to heat and chemical energy when you die, which is why plants grow well over bodies. Plants degrade less and lose less of their energy than humans (Research trophic levels to see where our energy goes).

How comes it that almost every house i have lived in has had someone die in it, yet the only possible ghosts i have seen were in a community center and the forest?

    My theory on "ghosts"

From a Thiest perspective, most would say their "soul" is left behind, and often interpreted as "ghosts" or "haunted houses"

Hmm... is this thread getting at if the ghost's dont stay on earth do they go to heaven..? if not..then hell yeah! lol.

ghost's have been a theory since the dark age, people would bury there dead. they had no way of knowing how to tell if they are still alive or not. so they started to tie bells to there hands, that way if they were in there grave and moved, the bell would sound, alerting a watchguard and allowing them to digg the body up.

some people believed that the body was possessed and thats why it did this.

Yes, but then when You talk to someone often about a haunted house, they often refer to it being haunted, by a ghost or spirit, which can be defined as a corrupt soul, often believed to be someone who murdered, or was burried near, or under the house, ect.

what do you mean by this?

usually people say that if the ghosts dont "rest" then they will stay on earth..didnt know if this is where this thread was going.

but, it will eventually turn into that since there will be a religious person here

by resting what do you mean?

this thread was religios from the start, a ghost is believed to be nothing more then a corrupt spirit, which is from a thiest view. Do you have something against "religious people"?

Or perhaps they heard that the house was haunted, and convinced themselves of seeing ghosts.

that actually makes a lot of sense considering most of human energy is lost toward heating the body, beating the heart, running the CNS, stuff like that.

    It poses a good question.

Where does the extra stored energy go?

    Nice theory.:D

P.S. Ever seen the show "A Haunting" on discovery channel? That show is downright creepy...
