Yah if you raise the range really high your combat level wont increase if you increase a whole bunch of defence levels. I would now

 

yea, i have a torags tank, but i'm not very far into it, like he said, keep your defense a bit higher then your range, and you will be good to go.

 

Take A look at my signature.... My tank has 55 defence, getting 60.
You should have that at about 47 combat .

Make that a goal for youself! Print a huge picture of something you really want on runescape but can't get yet! Put it everywhere in your house!

This method should never make you give up.
It works for me and was I Mahatma I's Method for never giving up! Only take them down once you have what you wanted. Hope I helped.

I would say you need 50 defence and 50 strength for granite. Granite gives an awesome range defence bonus and every other bonus is exactly the same as rune. In order to get 50 strength and 50 defence, you should do dragon slayer. Dragon slayer gives you 18k strength and defence which will give you 33 strength and 37 defence? then all you have to do it train. GP Merchant/Staker mentioned that you need higher defence then range. I find it hard to stake these days with high defence for the reason that it appears on the highscores. Almost every staker now has another window open for highscores search. Since 50 defence and strength doesnt appear its your best bet for winning money. It's okay if you dont want to hide, but I'd say you would have to if you want to become mega rich.

 

Yeah i agree with sty his low level staker owns he owns mill and higher i suggest using sty's way because hes a pro staker. anyways about stats yeah i'm with sty 50 defence and 50 strength it'll really help for the great stat bonus's. stakers are recently looking like hawk's in the highscores i guess i'm a hawk. :/

get 45 def and like 90 range 52 prayer 85 mage...thats for pking if you want, and for staking you should get 50 def 90 range and 44 prayer (44 because of eagle eye) but thats my opinion

 

With 50 defence, You'll get owned, I've tried.... 60 defence is full proof.

 

What about when people look you up and say, "I'm not staking a lvl 60 def noob!" Trust me you'll get more stakes at lvl 50 defence. Plus dragons range defence bonus is only like +2 better than granite, So when versing rangers its about even, aswell as 60 defence having higher combat.

 

ok right now im going for 50 def and trying to keep my range were its at.and wont having 50 str boost my cb up higher than i want? i seen your staking gallery sty but in those stakes you never had 40 range.
