A more Bold TWC..

The current TWC isn't very noticable, personally, I just scroll by that stuff and look for the info about the sale, and I'd imagine a lot of others do the same.

It needs to be something that stands out more, so you can't miss it.

 

Maybe a generic username image/different color...

If a person is dumb enough to not notice a TWC sign on someone's account before trading them, then consider it survival of the fittest and they most likely deserved it. Honestly I dont see the issue.

I agree with nate that it's your own fault if you don't heed the warning, it's obvious enough to notice. Only thing I would say though is that a lot of people don't take it seriously enough/don't fully understand what it's there for.. Although I suppose that has a similar answer, as it is quite hard to not know what 'Trade With Caution' means..

 

You can easily scroll by it.

Say you're buying a Runescape account, new people will scroll down, right to the pictures, find the price, find the MSN, and talk there, never notice a TWC.
It's not like a horrible request that's going to require a ton of work. Simply put, not everyone will notice it, which they should.

 

How about force them to have Daily's signature gotta be noticeable then..

People see post count and other ranks before they trade, when they ask for a PM you can see. I don't see the problem.

 

What are you talking about? If I'm scrolling down any thread I instantly see the TWC, sometimes I stop just to see who it is.

How do you not notice it? A rank is a rank, I think I notice them whenever I look at someones name. If they have TWC, then Request a MM. And if you would make "A More Bold TWC" wouldn't you skip it anyway?

 

He's saying for it to be more bold so you don't skip over it, but I think he is the only one that does.

 

I don't always notice it, but I don't trade here... sooo.. yeah.

But i'm sure i'm not the only one, and if we prevent one potential scam, even just one, through the little amount of effort that it would take to change this, that's enough.

 

Replace their usertitle with a nice bold 'TRADE WITH CAUTION' in red.

That would be sexy.

I wasn't trying to sound mean but if you pass through a thread without seeing the TwC rank and continue on to trade right away without taking any precautions (such as an MM), then you are just asking to be scammed.

 

It's an exclamation sign in a fucking brightly colored triangle, not seeing it is like driving on a street and not seeing a yield sign. If you can't see the sign, you shouldn't be driving in the first place.

 

Not to mention, if you aren't looking at the username of the person you are trading with, you might as well be trading with a complete stranger with no background or earned credibility. If you aren't looking at the user name, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG, and quite simply if you are looking at the user name, YOU CAN'T MISS THE TWC.

Idea is not needed.

Also, the difference between Skele_Master's use of the word idiot and your use of the word dumass is quite a lot (Naming characteristics of an idiot and then calling someone who would portray those characteristics an idiot; ie. If you light your pants on fire and then put them on, you're an idiot, and outright calling someone is a dumbass with no relation to the usage are drastically different.) Might not want to make too many enemies, as you know that Sythe.org doesn't operate out of the confines of bias.
